Honestly would give these 5 stars if the lark max2 hadn't just come out - these record very good sound both internally and to the mixer/straight to camera, but easy to use for people like me who are using them for basic video/interviews, not much crew/post. But, these have a clunkier profile if you want to just stick the transmitter right on a subject (see pic). App is easy to use, but you need to boost levels quite a bit when recording direct to a device. Can't speak to durability yet but have always had great experience with Rode in the past.

When you need reliable audio, this is the way. This replaced a RodeLink Filmmaker system I was using which is like the grandfather to this new set. Was getting too many dropouts during important moments and the range is now doubled plus backup internal recording even if there are dropouts. It's also super compact and I don't have to carry a separate case for my audio kit, now it just goes into my camera bag. Highly recommended.

As someone who is a documentary filmmaker who sometimes has to go solo on some of these shoots, having this setup is a god send. Being behind the camera is my speciality but audio is not. With these you can record 32 bit float which is essential recording raw as you would with taking photos with your dslr or you cinema cameras. Even if your subject peaks, you can adjust the audio to normal levels in post. Even better, it also has a feature where it can automatically adjust the levels as your record. So no matter how loud or soft your subject speaks it will always be at a good audio level! Not only I consider these professional grade but you can also use more high quality lavaliers such as Sankens or Sennheisers. There is also a lock mechanism for these prograde lavs so they won't come loose. Lastly my favorite feature is not only you can use the receiver to record audio straight to camera but the transmitter also record. In some cases, you're in a place where there is frequency issues that's where you can still have perfect audio by just pulling it off the transmitter pack!

Take it from someone that have had the previous version of this kit, this new ones are dynamite, with real 32 bit float audio recordings, timecode, the mic locking feature, more storage, the charging case, and the fantastic two lavalier mics included in the set, anyone could achieve excellent results with very little knowledge. Some things require that you learn them but out of the box you’ll find the user interface very intuitive. So, if you’re hesitating to buy them, just don’t, this is a great investment for anyone doing professional work.

The overall product works fantastic. This product even allows you to dually audio record on your camera as well as your phone - at the same time! This is great for filming and getting BTS on your phone. The only minor complaint is that one of the lav mic clip broke the first time i attempted to clip it on. I would appreciate Rode to send me some extra clips if possible. Other than that, very powerful and useful upgrades.

I had to use RODE before I gave a review and I love it. I use them with my GO PRO for YouTube and my SAMSUNG devices for social media.

Reasonably easy setup with quality performance. I’m happy so far but haven’t had this item long.

As a cinematographer and wedding film maker, these wireless laves have played a key roll in the success of each of my videos. Not only are they simple to use and understand, they’re pretty much ready to go right out of the box. The rechargeable case they come with is really helpful. And yes, it does come with another case for all the accessories, but this is not a big dear. The transmitters have a built in recording feature that really is a life saver. If your client ever walks out of range you know you always have a recording on the device you can sync up later. Also, bing able to start and stop recording from the receiver is truly amazing. Overall, if you’re planning to get this over another product, you will not go wrong. Being able to record high quality audio is key in making your project stand out from everyone else. I highly recommend. - Danilo @dhcinephoto

I absolutely love this microphone kit for its amazing audio quality and the ability to record two people at once. The charging case is a total lifesaver, keeping the mics powered up and ready to go anytime. However, the software is pretty clunky and not user-friendly at all, which can be frustrating. Also, I wish the 32-bit float feature wasn't limited to just internal recording. Despite these issues, I highly recommend this microphone for its sound quality and convenience.

Love the Rode wireless Pro. Its a bit pricy but I feel you get the best for you buck! I was hesitant to buy it at first, but after going back and forth, I feel this was the one for me. Easy to learn how to use, and battery life is long. It is also small and compact which I like. You should buy this!

I upgraded from the Gen II to the Gen III and I could lot be happier. I absolutely love these mics. The 32bit float was the biggest selling point for me, and I haven't had a single issue with getting them to work. They charge quick and last a long time. I used them for a 3hr podcast and it was at just about half battery when we were done. Pull the trigger, you won't regret it!

Works great both internally and using the transmitters. I use mine to record my sport bike exhaust sounds so the 32 bit float is amazing for not clipping but still getting the idling sounds or voices.

Best little mics I've bought in a while. Super compact and easy. We've filmed on a factory, in a busy conference show floor and at a sporting event and they do an incredible job of filtering out background noise and isolating the speaker. Perfect for "fast and loose" shooting.

Great for almost any use in videography! Also great because it has the lavaliers! Also the portable case is super compact. A must have for videography and content creation.

I have used many wireless mic systems, from DJI mics to even Hollyland’s newest Lark mics. Yes, there are some functionality features I prefer on those systems, but overall, RODE’s new Wireless Pros are the best. 32bit Float audio is reason enough for many, but when you combine that with the excellent sounding lav mics that come with this set, the portable form-factor, the extra accessories, and the ability to even have some sort of timecode option, these are almost a no brainer. All these features make these mics quite future proof and I know RODE will continue to add updates to make this system even better. Highly recommend!
