Rel subs are beautiful and quality devices. We demoed a few different brands at the Brentwood, TN BB, and the HT1205 stood out to me as the heaviest hitter while preserving bass accuracy; That is, within the ~$1000 price range. My hifi system is technically sereophile-grade and there is no sub-out on my amp. So, audiophiles would scoff at this addition... but I genuinely enjoy heavy bass and like a little wall shaking with my music. Because this is technically geared toward "home-theater," it is even more qualified for that purpose. However, I have been more than satisfied with it's musical performance as well! The T/X7 was also demoed and is actually a more musical sub, but I would have had to purchase at least 2 of them to match the output of the ht1205. So I sacrificed "quality" for "quantity" bass, if you will. I went with the white model and my only complaint is the fabric on the dust cover: you can see EVERYTHING. But this is negligible. This is a great value subwoofer.

I love this subwoofer! I didn’t want to run cables to the back of my room where I decided to place the sub, so I got the wireless kit Rel Model:HT-Air MKII SKU:6560282. Extremely simple setup. Creates its own wireless connection. Comes with everything you need. You just need power outlets to plug into near your receiver and also where you decide to place your sub. If the placement of the sub is close enough to your receiver, you just need a power outlet and an RCA cable to go from the receiver to the sub. No wireless kit required. I upgraded my RCA’s to Audioquest Black Labs. I wanted to reduce as much unwanted noise as possible. Sealed system provides beautiful clean punch and rumble while watching movies, and is extremely tight when listening to uncompressed audio 2.1. I can’t imagine anyone being unsatisfied with this sub. After accommodating for my specific room acoustics, I have it dialed back to 40%. You will not be disappointed.

Upgraded system with 1st sub, after upgrading AVR earlier in the year that accommodated 9.4 After about 40 year old HK system that still works great at 4.0, So obviously a major upgrade. Rell sub was recommended by several Best Buy experts and glad went higher end. Sub sounds awesome, did need to adjust AVR settings a bit, boosted base too much so tuned it as needed on AVR settings for a great blend of new base range. Music and Movies all sound much better. Old system is great for game room, but no going back from 9.1, except forward to a 2nd sub in the future, and some updated speakers.

REL specializes in subwoofers and it shows. They are great for both movies abs music. They are in a sealed enclosure witch gives them a tighter sound while remaining quite powerful. I’ve been into audio equipment fir 50 years and i have to say the REL subs are inw if the most impressive components I’ve ever cone across.

Excellent quality subwoofer. Deep bass. Not a boomy low quality sound that many subs provide.

I had a B&W 10" subwoofer and replaced it with this 1205 REL 12" unit. First off let me say that a 10" subwoofer is limited in its low frequency range and though the B&W unit boasted 500 watts, it still bottomed out. Additionally you felt cheated when the need for room shaking lows was missing. This has been remedied by the 1205. The satisfying lows that pull you in and wow you are back. I rewatched Badlands and didn't need to turn the volume down because the sub was bottoming out. The REL let it rip. Two inches matter. Say no to 10" and yes to this fine REL 12" sub.

I researched subwoofers extensively and listened to as many as were available, before making a purchase. I found the REL to be powerful and clear, compared to others that simply created muddy noise. In my home, this sub is strictly for home theater use, and for my 20 x 25-foot family room, it's more than adequate to vibrate the furniture when necessary. Very good quality and sound at a reasonable price.

I felt this was a lot of money to spend on a subwoofer even though it was on sale and i got an additional $60 off because it was "open box" in "like new" condition. It is incredibly powerful with deep clean bass. When setting up, you really have to be careful as you gradually increase the level knob. It goes from nothing to too much in a fraction of a milimeter

REL Subs are room filling, accurate, and priced right! You get what you pay for in this case. Even though this sub is built more for home theater, this absolutely does a fantastic job on music! I loved it so much I bought a second. WOW these are amazing!

Powerful deep tight bass goes below 20 Hz in room, suitable for music, very well made. My only complaint is auto on/off not working reliably, looks like you need to send full range signal to turn it on.

Incredible extremely loud the bass this woofer produces is amazing the only complaint I have is the feedback noise when the sub is placed to close to certain other devices. For some reason when i have my HTPC on the sub constantly reverberates
