I absolutely love the reMarkable Paper Pro! This device has completely transformed how I organize my work and personal life. It has replaced all my paper notebooks and even my iPad for note-taking. The writing experience is second to none—it genuinely feels like writing on paper but with the added benefit of endless pages and effortless organization. The Marker Plus is incredibly responsive, and the eraser functionality makes it so intuitive to use. The included Book Folio in Mosaic Weave not only looks sleek but also provides great protection while maintaining a professional appearance. This device lives up to its promise of providing a distraction-free and long-lasting battery notebook, making it an excellent choice for organizing and categorizing notes. However, compared to the previous version, the new pro model has a duller and grayer screen that provides lower contrast between the paper and the ink. This is a significant downside. The writing experience is different from the previous version, and I believe it’s a matter of personal preference. I did prefer the previous version for this reason, for I found that it offered a more paper-like feel when writing. On this new version, it feels more like writing on an iPad (though much better than it) One major issue with the software is its limited note-searching capabilities. It only supports searching for handwritten text, which is a significant limitation. Overall, the device fulfills its promises, but there are some factors to consider when comparing it to the previous Remarkable2 version. Surprisingly, certain features are still superior to those in the previous version.

I finally caved and bought the reMarkable Paper Pro. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and honestly it's been really helpful. It has replaced all of my notebooks and is now accompanaying me to all my meetings. Helps me take all of my meeting notes, is the perfect thing for me to create a mind map while studying. The new feature to search handwritten notes is really handy.

I bought it for college. To take notes but i use it for so much more. It is my constant companion. Recommend it for all that it is designed to do.

Best purchase in a long time! No more hunting through a stack of yellow notepads

I came from the Remarkable 2. And i was little concerned about the price and the size. The size is on the bigger side and the the price is on the expensive side. If you like the remarkable 2 you will love the pro. Is a great device and the fabric cover is high quality as the leather one. It is more capable than the Remarkable 2, more storage, faster response. The screen flickering is a thing but is what you get with e ink display

Had the RMP2 and thought this woukd be a great upgrade after selling that one. Well I open and turned on and immediately noticed a dead line of pixel going 1/4 the way down the middle of the device. $750 and no quality control? Makes me second guess them. Thats a lot to spend. But mistakes happen. Ill be returning for a scribe or go back to the RMP2 idk.

1st one had a "dead zone" (about 2" area in middle of tablet would not respond no matter how many times I rebooted... made sure software was up to date and tried different marker styles). Exchanged it with no issues, thank you Best Buy. 2nd one *mostly* works (which I do enjoy using) but is unresponsive at times. The 2nd bundle had a defective folio with a thread sticking out. Tried to ignore it, but unfortunately, it started to irritate me and I contacted reMarkable support. How remarkably horrible- 1st they stated they don't cover faults, then changed it to they don't cover wear and tear. What a joke on a $139 Mosaic Weave Basalt cover! If you're going to offer a "premium" product" at a premium, make sure your support and warranty is there. Display is good but freezes at times and suffers from ghosting (this is allegedly normal). This almost feels like a prototype. I do use it often, but take very good care of my electronics. I have read about similar experiences with support, and unless this is something you feel you really need instead of a "real" tablet, STAY AWAY.

I was so hyped about the reMarkable Paper Pro that I bought two. We love them and I even use mine at work. Got my cases from Anazon. Yes tgey came with extra pen tips.

The system's ease of use and lack of distractions are advantageous, comparable to a tablet; however, the mandatory membership fee and incompatibility with Kindle books are significant drawbacks.

I was skeptical at first and held off but have to admit the color RMPP is very nice. I upgraded from the RM2 and it's worth it. It's the size of an actual piece of paper, writes nicely and the highlighter is definitely a nice touch. I like the fact that the folio has a magnetic closure that keeps the pen from getting detached accidentally. Even though it magnetically attaches, it can slip off when you put it in a bag or walk around with it. All around a good purchase. One slight drawback is the surface is a bit scratchy; not quite as smooth as the RM2. That and there is a slight delay when you write but it doesn't take that long to get used to. After using the device for a little bit, you get the hang of it and after about 15 min of using it, you're a pro.

amazing GoodNotes app. The good for the reMarkable is that I love the distraction-free environment. I also think the writing experience is very good. The feel is excellent and the functionality is just what you need. Build feels very solid and high quality. My issues are: 1) Very slow response to touch sometimes (taps and gestures). Sometimes it takes several tries. 2) A LOT of ghosting, where you can see the previous image even when you open a new notebook. 3) The backlight is VERY weak. I can hardly see any light until I get to levels 4 and 5 on the light scale. 4) Overall a very laggy experience. Minimal latency when writing, but they should have used a faster processor for everything else. 5) Hard to justify the price when you can get an iPad for about the same price and just buy a writing screen protector. Feels/functions like a $250 device. 6) A little too big to take everywhere. Over a pound in weight. Need a smaller pro version that fits in a coat pocket. 7) Sometime a little glitchy. When I wake it from sleep, it will sometimes repeatedly go back to sleep while I am writing. Resolves after a few tries, but a nuisance. Overall, I do like the unit. But I feel a little ripped off by the price so not sure if I will keep it. Great concept, but screen light, screen responsiveness to touch, and overall processor need some work.

If you don’t already own a ReMarkable device, I think you’ll love this one! The size fits comfortably while walking around using it (I bring it to the court room every day), and even more comfortable on a desk. In my experience, no other device gets closer to the feel of writing on paper. If you already have a ReMarkable 2, DON’T buy this one. The price difference makes absolutely no sense. The lag is the same (and I’m not complaining about the lag, I’m just letting you know it doesn’t improve even with the massive price difference). The natural paper feel isn’t any better or worse, though it does feel different. The pen tip is definitely made of a harder material and sounds like you’re tapping on glass each time the pen makes contact with the screen, so it’s noticeably louder to write on than the ReMarkable 2. The new size is almost exactly the same size as a standard sheet of printer paper (8.5” x 11”), which makes reading and writing on PDFs much easier for my workflow. Overall, if I could go back in time and not spend the extra money for this small upgrade, I would.

I had been searching for something like the Remarkable PaperPro for years, and when I finally found it, I was thrilled. The moment I opened it, I was hooked. The writing experience is awesome—my serial killer-esque handwriting looks just like it does on regular paper when I use the RMP. It has that nice paper feel, even though it’s not actually paper. Plus, the backlight is not super bright, but it is more than bright enough for me. I have not tried the feature to convert handwriting to text, but if I can hardly read my own handwriting why would I think this would be able to convert it to anything remotely legible. I mostly bought it to take notes for school. I've only added a couple of books so far, but it seems to work great, even though I don’t plan on reading much on it. The battery lasts for days, whether I’m using it or just letting it sit. I haven't had any weird software or technical issues at all. There are tons of templates you can add, which is cool. Just a heads-up, though: this isn’t a regular tablet; it’s an e-ink device. It has its limitations, but those are exactly what I was looking for, but it may ot be for everyone.

The device is perfectly minimalist. It does a narrow scope of things extraordinarily well, rather than a broad scope of things moderately well. The interface is fairly intuitive, and the pen to paper feel is as real as it can get on an electronic device. It's highly responsive, and I've never gotten and false positives from the pen or palm. The hardware build quality is very solid. The e ink experience may take a little getting used to, if you are new to it. The handwriting to text conversion works well. On the downside, it's very expensive, so be prepared to pay a lot for a very specific tool. It's not going to do much else, but that's the point. It's also why the battery will easily get you through a week or longer.

I got this to use for work because I was tired of going through paper. I like the organization, it’s easy to use and does feel like paper. The backlight seems like afterthought when compared to how impressive the Kindle’s is. The refresh rate also seems to substantially lag, which isn’t annoying but I would expect better performance for the price point. It’s a good product, and if the cost was $300-$400, I would recommend it to everyone I know. The experience just feels too outdated for a $700 product.

Better than expected! It writes beautifully and is almost like writing on paper. Uploading files to the device is easy and the highlighting snapping to the text makes my note taking so much cleaner. I’d say it’s better than writing on an iPad Pro, and you don’t have any apps trying to distract you from your work. Only thing I find annoying is the pinch to zoom out or in is kinda bad, you have to redo it multiple times until it realizes. The refresh rate of the screen takes some getting used to but ultimately isn’t that bad.

Finally found a product that makes me more productive and organized. I always struggled to find the right balance of Enotes and carry around notebooks. This is the perfect option. Writing is seamless and feels natural. You don't even realize you are not using a real pen and paper. I also like the option to easily switch between pens / highlighter when taking notes during the meeting. As an added bonus, the templates are incredibly useful depending on your needs.
