I have been using Rexing Wireless CarPlay adaptors for several years in my “summer” vehicle (FJ Cruiser) which has an aftermarket corded CarPlay-enabled radio head unit. Each version of Rexing’s CarPlay adapters continue to impress – the connectivity and speed to connect has gotten down to less than 10 seconds from starting the car. The ability to be fully hands-free (and practically eyes-free) use of CarPlay via Siri is responsive, and music streaming is excellent. No noticeable buffering and the size of the device is so small, it’s almost hard to see. An absolutely outstanding addition for vehicles which do not have native wireless CarPlay functionality. A couple of notes – not necessary cons – but notes. The device gets very warm, so placement with room for air should be considered. Also, the nature of CarPlay is flawed no matter what device you use if you have multiple devices that utilize a wireless network. I have a cellular-enabled dashcam setup that utilizes WIFI for real-time coverage from the camera to my phone and this interferes with the Rexing CarPlay adapter. They both initially connect via Bluetooth and then via WIFI and it confuses my phone. So, I just had to adjust the dashcam to record to the card and download clips when the radio and CarPlay adapter are powered off.

I just purchased and received the new Rexing CPW-52 Wireless CarPlay adapter. It’s a compact, nonintrusive USB-A plug with an optional USB-C adapter. The installation was quick and easy. Pairing with my iPhone 15 was almost immediate. Once paired, I just had to click “Use CarPlay” to set it up for an automatic connection. The visible light indicates whether I’m connected. I’m not detecting any lag when listening to Apple Music. However, the music cuts in and out while driving. I’m trying to determine whether there’s Bluetooth interference with something else on my phone. I didn't have this problem with the previous Rexing device. Nevertheless, it’s great to get rid of the cord.

I installed this wireless CarPlay adapter in my 2018 Mazda 3, and it has worked exactly as I hoped. The biggest advantage is that I finally got rid of the cable. I use CarPlay every day, and not having to plug my phone in every time I get in the car makes a huge difference. The initial setup required a manual connection, but it was straightforward and only needed to be done once. After that, the adapter automatically reconnects every time I start the car. Now my phone connects within seconds without any extra steps. The connection has been stable, CarPlay functions work properly, and the overall experience feels very close to a factory-installed wireless system. I’m very happy with this purchase and relieved to see everything working so smoothly in my Mazda 3. If you’re tired of dealing with cables and have a vehicle with wired CarPlay, this adapter is definitely worth considering.

An upgrade from the previous version and much smaller in size. It works seamlessly after the initial 15 minutes of figuring it out, probabky mh fault lol. Works great with minor lag, which I expect. Definitely would buy again , it connected to my samsung s25 android. I am using it in my GTI which has android wired play and this makes me so happy that i can just walk into the car and it connects automatically.

Really good, surprisingly small. Doesn't take any room away from my center console, it's almost flush with the USB port . I do have one quirk, if I remote start my car sometimes it won't connect on its own, I have to get my phone out and join the wifi network it puts out. Overall it's great, clever design to make my car think an iPhone is plugged in and then lets me connect my android to it. Zero lag Android Auto experience, with a newer phone at least.

I am reviewing “Rexing - CPW-52 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter” that I bought at Best Buy. My car is a 2019 Sienna XLE that came with built-in Navigation. This year Dynamic Map updates are no longer available - so I decided to try Apple Play so I can use Waze on the big screen. Problem with Apple Play is that I have to connect Apple Play to my iPhone each time I want to use it. I bought a cheap wireless Car Play adapter from Amazon. The adapter was long and got knocked out by my knee whenever I entered the car. The device connected to my phone successfully about half the time. As a loyal Rexing Dash Cam customer, I decided to pay a bit more for a quality Rexing Wireless Car Play Adapter. As you can see in the photo comparing the two adapters, there is no possibility of knocking the Rexing adapter out of the socket. Even more importantly, the wireless connection stays connected and automatically reconnects every time I start the car with my iPhone in my pocket. I gave the Rexing CPW-52 5 stars. It gives me peace of mind on every trip. I highly recommend the Rexing CPW-52.

I have a 2016 Cadillac Escalade. The radio has car play but only via USB cable. My wife has a newer car that has wireless car play and I enjoyed being able to use it without plugging in. When I found out I can get wireless car play with just a small usb dongle I jump at the chance. The Rexing Wireless CarPlay work just like the wired car play without the wires! I have been using it for a couple of weeks and it connect right away when I start my car. It was easy to setup. I plugged it into the USB port in my SUV selected CarPlay on the display and followed the step that popped up on the screen.

The Rexing CPW52 wireless CarPlay adapter has been a genuinely worthwhile upgrade. Setup is refreshingly simple: plug it into your car’s USB port, pair it with your phone once, and from then on it connects automatically. There’s no repeated configuration or troubleshooting involved. The real benefit is eliminating the cable entirely. Your phone can stay in a pocket or cupholder, and CarPlay launches automatically as soon as the car starts. There’s no cord running across the dash and nothing to accidentally unplug mid-drive — just a cleaner, more convenient setup overall. Connection stability has been consistently reliable, with no noticeable lag or dropouts. For anyone still using a wired CarPlay connection, this is a small investment that meaningfully improves the everyday driving experience. The best part is obviously ditching the cable. If you’ve ever dealt with a CarPlay cord getting yanked out mid-drive or just cluttering up your center console, you know how annoying that is. With this thing, your phone can just chill in your pocket or the cupholder and CarPlay fires up automatically once you start the car. No wires to tangle, no cord snaking across your dash — it’s just cleaner all around. Connection has been solid too, no random drops or lag that you sometimes worry about with wireless adapters. For anyone still tethered to a cord for Apple CarPlay, this is a cheap upgrade that makes your whole driving setup feel way less janky. Worth it.

Simple plug and play into USB in my 2021 RAM 1500. After first install ans Bluetooth pairing, it works seamlessly. Auto connection. No delay. And more importantly, no wires!

I wish I had one of these years ago. This wireless adapter to link your phone to your car for Android Auto or Carplay is very convenient. Instead of having to get my phone out and plug it into my car with a USB cable this adapter quickly and automatically connects my phone to my car. When I start my car within about 30 seconds Android Auto pops up and is ready to go. I also don’t mistakenly leave my phone in the car since it was plugged in and on the seat instead of in the holder on my belt. This newer model Rexing CPW-52 is smaller and connects quicker than other adapters like this that I have seen. It also works great if you have a door that closes over your USB port and you have a limited amount of space for the adapter. It also has a USB C to USB A adapter so if your car has a USB C port everything is included to get you up and running in no time. The setup is quick and easy and it links up every time you start your car. If you have a limited plan or do not need the mapping program and want another menu displayed you simply have to unplug the adapter when not needed. When you plug it back in it will remember everything and will reconnect to your phone.

I’ve used several wireless CarPlay adapters, and the Rexing CPW-52 is by far the fastest of the bunch. It connects to CarPlay almost immediately, and there’s virtually no noticeable lag when navigating through the CarPlay interface. Even when moving around inside a map, everything feels very responsive and smooth. My only real nitpick is the physical design. I would much prefer a USB-C version that plugs directly into the vehicle without needing an adapter. A USB-C-to-USB-A adapter is included in the box, but I prefer not to use adapters when possible. Overall, though, the performance is excellent, and the fast connection and responsiveness make this one of the better wireless CarPlay adapters I’ve used.

I've been struggling to find a small unit to replace the 6' cord I've been using in my 2019 Tahoe which did not come with wireless carplay. I always didn't want to have the phone charging, and I didn't always want to place the phone in a cradle. I've purchased several Rexing dash cameras before, and was always pleased by their quality, so I was willing to give this a try. Plug it in, pair it to your phone the first time, done. Has connected every time, ever since, with no detectable delay or latency. If you are looking for a small, discrete wireless solution. I recommend this Rexing unit.

I tried buying $200 devices that have all sorts of features like Netflix and screen mirroring and a bunch of fancy features that I never really used. After a car accident, I rented a car that had built-in Wireless CarPlay and I LOVED it. Automatically connecting, fast connecting, and always just there on and waiting. I returned my fancy $200 wireless carplay adaptor that ran on Android, required updates and frequently overheated and shut down and thought that I would just have to live with plug in CarPlay. This Rexing CPW-52 is the experience that I wanted from the beginning. Simple, quick and easy to setup, I'm so happy that I found this. I have always trusted Rexing for my dash cams so I knew when I saw this wireless carplay adapter, I could trust that it would be a quality, well-built product.

It works very well, but has occasional connection issues. Not a big problem. Installed in a Mazda CX-5, the orientation of the USB connector caused the adapter to cover the second USB charging port. I had to buy a 90 degree USB adapter to be able to plug in both the adapter and a charging cable at the same time.

Ordered the adaptor at the local Best Buy. Adaptor arrived at home the next day. Adaptor is totally plug and play and incredibly easy and simple to use and works perfectly.

This is the perfect upgrade for a Ford Sync3 system that requires a wired connection for Android Auto and CarPlay. This device is low profile, completely blending in to my truck's infotainment dash. The intial setup was super easy and my phone now automatically connects to the device and AA automatically boots when I start the truck. Completely seemless experience!

Was one of the best purchases i have made from here and have had little to no issues. Great product and almost 0 to no lag. This is why i always go to best buy for my tech needs.

Product Works Great ñ, Great value, never had a problem. Two months and it work just fine. Like the standard CarPlay we have on the other car.

The CPW-52 Wireless CarPlay Adapter exceeds my expectations in every way! I didn’t realize how convenient this made things. I have been using it for about two weeks and I can confidently recommend this to anyone who is still using a usb cable to connect their phone to CarPlay. Connecting it was incredibly easy and the adapter is so small, it’s out of the way and not to mention not having the usb cable around my shifter area has really cleaned things up and keeps the area free and clear. The sound quality of my phone calls and Spotify music has not been affected and sounds just s good s of phone were plugged in via ish cable. It’s worked consistently and connects problem free every single time. I love it and highly recommend it! Thank you Rexing for another great product!

Started using a usb cable and when that went out, used a wireless dongle from another brand. That didn't last long either. It would connect and disconnect making it very frustrating and the initial set up was a nightmare. Went back to a cable and after constantly changing them out decided to see if this Rexing would do the trick. So far, it's been outstanding. Set up was a breeze, didn't even need to look up any videos. Set up both IOS and Android because I have both phones. Interface on both was the same but realized you can't easily switch back and forth. So I decided to stick with my android. There is very little lag unlike the last wireless dongle I had. I do recommend that you keep your phone stationary on a holder while driving or the gps goes kinda all over the place with the map.
