Riddarna - Under Jorden - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Aerkenbrand - Hedenfarne Aventyr [COMPACT DISCS] date 10/03/2025

2020 . After 17 years the Swedish black metal phenomenon Armagedda crawls back from the netherworlds. And so it was told that in the seventeenth year, things that were thought to be dead begun to stir again in the earth, as if awoken by the stench of man-fear penetrating deep beyond the reach of sunlight. Reanimated by some nameless and cursed source of vitality they say it has begun pouring and trickling from the dark crevices of the North, like an ancient curse into the veins of the world. And with the same fearful fascination that we behold something full of life being robbed of it's vitality and pulse, we shall now bear witness to that which ought to be forever dead but by unnatural impulse and eager invocation is again given life, to haunt and to stalk the night of the world. Album Tracks 1. Det Sjuttonde Året 2. Ond Spiritism 3. Likvaka 4. Djupens Djup 5. Guds Kadaver (En Falsk Messias) 6. Flod Av Smuts 7. Evigheten I en Obrutbar Cirkel

FORNHEM are living proof that the dark underground in Norrkoping at the centre of Sweden's historic province of Ostergotland, which has spawned such ground-breaking acts as MARDUK and OFERMOD, is still fertile. The Swedes' sophomore full-length InchStamman fran BergetInch (InchThe Voice from the MountainInch) is clearly more than a continuation from FORNHEM's acclaimed 2017 debut album InchEtt Fjarran KallInch (InchA Call from AfarInch). While the trio remains firmly rooted in Nordic black metal with it's mesmerising, repetitive phrasing, pounding ritualistic percussion, and fierce vocals, they have expanded the range of their eclectic influences even further. At the core of the band's audible musical development apart from added years of experience is the addition of guitarist Thuleman to the original founding duo of FORNHEM. Thuleman is a veteran musician, who comes with a solid background in blues rock and just for the fun of it also composes Nordic ambient. The organic fusion of classic rock and metal with black metal has created a quite unique take on the genre's sound. FORNHEM were founded in 2013 by vocalist and drummer Vafthrudner and guitarist Solbane, who came with a background in both classical music as well as black metal. Both artists are also united by a love for books as Solbane is a librarian and Vafthrudner studies history of religion in Uppsala. His interest in philosophy and art have shaped aesthetics of FORNHEM and manifest on InchStamman fran BergetInch in lyrics that take inspiration from Sweden's radical lyricist Gunnar Ekelof. With InchStamman fran BergetInch FORNHEM skillfully add a new facet to Nordic black metal that will appeal to both traditionalists looking for a dark emotional ride as well as those searching for a fresh approach and lyrical intelligence. Album Tracks 1. Den Langsta Dagen 2. Utharba Spa 3. Forlist 4. Stamman F
