Glass shape matters as Riedel promotes and although this glass is referenced as the Riesling glass it is the glass in the Veloce line that is recommended by Riedel for a vast variety of white varietals. If you intend to only purchase a few glasses from this line I would recommend this glass for your whites as it is quite versatile. I feel this glass has elevated my tasting experience with the whites I have tried to date as I am noticing flavors and aromas in some wines I’ve had before that were previously not detected and therefore not enjoyed. Please be aware these glasses do have extremely thin stems and are therefore quite fragile which is the reason for the four star rating. But they certainly deliver on elevating the wine experience.
