This item works as described. It is the waterproof option, so it can be outside in direct rain/ snow and still work. It takes AA batteries, so it is easier for us lazy people to just replace instead of trying to wait for a charge. I also like the black, because it matches my soul and my colors.

I purchased these to put on each gate entrance as sometimes its inadvertently left open by someone. If left open and we are not aware, our dog would get out. This is vwry helpful to see and know when they are open and close. Super easy to install on a wooden gate. Used the tape and screws.

After installation almost 4 months after the purchase still shows tamper alert and till now is an useless sensor

Hi Tamper. Having a functioning Contact Sensor is crucial for your security. A Tamper alert is an indication that the cover on the Contact Sensor is not seated all the way.
