Another Great Tool For Car Security!

Basically, this is a tracking system for your car. Easy to plug and setup in your car's diagnostic port. Great for when you are in a large parking lot and forget to know where your car is. Love the feature that show when doors or trunk have opened.

This little gadget is so essy to install… jusy pop it into the port. Every time a door opens you get an alert. In real time. And, on too of that, the location… I didnt want to retrofit a car alarm… When they go off it’s usually a really loud false alarm. This one is stealth. I much prefer it. I have a 2012 Mini Cooper and this is perfrct

I purchased this for a 2014 chevy spark ls. I was excited when I received the product but when I connected it to the car OBD2 port it did not connect and stayed on internal charge. I followed the instructions as directed.

It sounds like your device is not operating as expected in regard to the installation. When the device stays on internal charge after being plugged into the OBD-II port, this typically means it is not receiving power from the vehicle's port. Here are a few things we recommend trying:
1. Ensure the device is fully seated — Push the Ring Car Alarm firmly into the OBD-II port until you hear or feel a click.
2. Check your vehicle's OBD-II fuse — A blown fuse can prevent power from reaching the port.
3. Remove any third-party OBD-II accessories — Bluetooth adapters, splitters, or pass-through cables can interfere with the connection.
4. Try with the ignition on — Some vehicles only supply power to the OBD-II port when the key is in the ON position.

It was good until it stop sending me, notices. it's ok if you just need a location traker should be better option out there for tracking.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. Since the device was previously sending notifications but has stopped, there are a few areas to check. First, please confirm that notifications for the Ring Car Tracker and Alarm are enabled in the Ring app by going to the device settings and checking the Alert Settings. It is also important to verify that the Ring app has permission to send notifications on the smartphone. Additionally, please ensure that the device has a stable connection by checking the Device Health section in the Ring app.
The Ring Car Tracker and Alarm uses an accelerometer that detects physical vibrations to the vehicle. This means motion will not be detected when someone walks by or jumps up and down near the vehicle. The motion must create a vibration, such as a bump to the vehicle, a door closing, or the vehicle being rocked. The Ring Car Tracker and Alarm does not use a camera to detect external motions.
The vehicle's size and weight can influence the vibration detected by the accelerometer. Premium vehicles often have more rubber stripes on the doors, better shock absorbers, and better materials to reduce driving noise, which can affect Motion Detection.
If motion alerts are not being received, increasing the Motion Sensitivity slider under Motion Settings in the Ring app may help. Additionally, if the Ring Car Tracker and Alarm is not installed properly, difficulties with motion detection may occur, and reinstalling the device securely could improve performance.
