You're thinking - hey control my Christmas lights, or some other outdoor thing that plugs into an outlet - with my fun Ring app. Right? You already own other Ring devices, maybe a doorbell, a security system, some door locks, light switches. Wow outdoor control would be sweet to add that. Think again. You need a $50 box to make this thing work. And that silly box has ultra limited range. And that box can't be extended or used with more than one in the system. And it works on an ancient useless bandwidth your grandpa used for cordless phones, 900MHz. The Ring BRIDGE - that is the device required to make this work. Oh that's different from the base station. You have to buy the BRIDGE even if you have a ton of other devices. The great news, and why I love this outlet, it is super well made. The waterproof specs for it are outstanding. You will need to point the outlets downward if you are using this out in the open. The outlet covers seal up incredibly well. When setting it up, have the outlet near the bridge. You can unplug it after setup. Setup is surprisingly easy - just follow the app instructions. I usually hate that advice, in this case it works just great. In the Ring app the outlets can be named. They can be grouped with other lights. Or they can be turned off or on independently. And the app allows schedules - like dusk to dawn based on your location. The use cases for this spans a pretty big range - control low voltage lights, Christmas lights, outdoor patio lights... anything that can be plugged into a 110V outlet. Ring needs to be far clearer about what is required to make this work. And the horrible limitations of that Bridge device. They built a really great outdoor outlet and then hobbled it with a crummy connection.

Got 5 of these to use for Christmas lights outside and for our Christmas trees inside. Has 2 outlets on each plug and each outlet can have its own schedule. Super easy to navigate and use in your existing ring app. Must buy the bridge to utilize fully tho, but totally worth it

If you already are in the Ring ecosystem this is a great add on at a very reasonable price. We use the ring smart plug for outdoor holiday lighting and they are far superior to any other ‘dumb’ timers we’ve used in the past. The plug uses the same ring app and each outlet can be on an independent schedule or turned on/off independently. The outlets also handle a good amount of draw without any issues (not quite Clark Griswold but I do have several splitters running off each outlet). Highly recommended.

The Ring smart plugs are a great addition in the ring family. Allowing you to add items to the outside of your home (string lights,X-mas lights, fans and so on. Leave them plugged in and control from the app or schedule a timer. First one worked so good. I bought a second one

Great addition to my RING network! Portable device makes lighting options portable and provides automation.

I got these to put Christmas display stuff on a timer. It's nice that you can control each side separately. These are really heavy duty, heavy weight wise. Note: to use these you must have the Ring Light Bridge installed in your home. I already had one since I have Ring light bulbs indoors.

I have purchased this right before I moved and forgot I had it. When I found it, I was beyond excited! If it’s in with my ring devices and comes in handy for Christmas decorations. If you’re fortunate enough enough to have decorations all year round and use ring, this is a true gift!

This is very easy to program and set up to link to other Ring devices. I set it up so when my camera detect motion it turns on my landscape walkway lights. Very cool!

This is a great solution for anyone wanting to control their outside lights from their phone. Purchasing the Ring Outdoor Smart Plug was a great solution to controlling my Christmas lights.

great idea! Love this! Use it as a way to know for sure that the pool pump was shut off in the back yard after young adults used the pool after we hit the hay.

I love it! It's the best invention since sliced bread, with apologies to the AI gains. It does exactly what I want, and you just can't expect more than that!

Been wanting one of these fuys for a while. Seems durable butnonly time will tell on weatherproofimg and durability. However looking forward to the holidays finally this will be great for that and my ring products.

I bought this because I went with a bunch of Ring products and I had another lesser known brand that wasn't compatible. Using this for Xmas lights we use to light up backyard and bug zapper. So far So good. A 3rd or 4th plug in the same wrapper would've been nice vs just 2 but we'll live.

This plug is great! I only had been using one of the plugs but I wanted two areas of lights on my yard to shut off at different times so I just began using A and B. So convenient! Purchased two more!

Fit right in with my Ring home, one look at the dashboard to check and program, would recommend and have brought for Christmas presents in the past.
