Easy to set up and most affordable option when moving into your first little home. We just got a new place and purchased a ring camera for safety measures and I honestly couldn’t be happier. It exceeded my expectations as far as battery life. It does need to be recharged but it’s so easy to pull out and charge. The battery lasts a long time, and it notifies you ahead of time when it’s running low. We got a bundle which included a camera for the inside of your home, and I placed it in the living room facing the hallway. When we’re on vacay, it gives me a peace of mind that I’m able to check the inside of my home as well. Must buy!

I love my ring doorbell. The setup was super simple, the battery life is great even in the winter, and I like how I can communicate with guests even while I’m away. The only downside is it doesn’t always capture motion, leaving some events unrecorded. It’s great to just keep an eye on the front door, but I wouldn’t use it as a standard security camera

This is the best door bell I have used thus far. I before tried the Kangaroo doorbell and let me tell you that was a complete disaster. It was constantly not picking up the WiFi and the sensitivity was outrageous on the motion detection! But this ring is a perfect fit for me and my household and not to mention the indoor camera is phenomenal! Thank you for this great product, I look forward to purchasing add ons in the future.

One of the first pioneers and you can see it in the quality of the peace. Very versatile and installation and have pretty much every option and solution already figured out for you. And if you find yourself still stuck there plenty of YouTube videos for you to refer to for almost every situation very happy with our purchase.

The Ring Battery Doorbell and Ring Indoor Cam is designed to detect motion based on your specifications so that you are notified of all motion events that matter to you. We would love the opportunity to work with you to get your device performing optimally for your home's environment.
It sounds like you have some concerns with your device's motion detection. If your device appears to be missing a lot of motion, you may want to check the motion frequency setting. The motion frequency control allows you to reduce alerts from repetitive patterns of motion or increase alerts so you get notified about the motion events that matter to you.
Follow these steps to adjust the motion frequency:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left of the Dashboard.
Tap Devices.
Select the device you'd like to adjust.
Tap Motion Settings.
Tap Advanced Settings.
Tap Motion Frequency.
Select Frequently, Regularly or Periodically.
Frequently: Motion detection always stays active. Shortest battery life.
Regularly: Motion detection takes a short break after each Motion Alert. Medium battery life.
Periodically: Motion detection takes a longer break after each alert. Maximum battery life.
Tap Save in the upper-right corner.

Great doorbell camera and indoor camera. Wish the doorbell did a removable battery in this model though. Other than that it works great.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. With the Ring Battery Doorbell, the device has a irremovable battery, which requires the device to be unmounted to be charged.
