He has produced and remixed over 500 records for an all-star roster of multi-platinum artists, including Mariah Carey, U2, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, and Whitney Houston. The global phenomenon and penetration of dance music into Top 40 radio would not have been possible without him. Native New Yorker, Morales was one of the first superstar DJs to actively tour the world-and his activity, over the years has only increased. In 2020, due to the global pandemic and inability to travel, he launched, Sunday Mass, a livestreaming show on Twitch to entertain his fans across the world. The 2021 IMS Business Report based on data, cited him as one of the dance music artists who experienced online success during the pandemic. As restrictions for travel continue to ease globally, Morales has DJ gigs booked through the end of the year in New York, the UK, Italy, Greece, and Croatia. Morales launched DIRIDIM Records in 2018. With this new tag, Morales is signing and developing artists-and naturally, releasing some of his own productions. DIRIDIM celebrates all kinds of dance music, from the classic sounds Morales is known for to straight up electronic. In June 2021, Morales released Parkside Ave, an instrumental, afro-jazz influenced album. His next album, Rise featuring artists, Mr. V., Blakkat, Elle Cato, Michelle Perera, Lea Lorien, and Tiger Wilson, among others, is due in December 2021. His unquenchable thirst for newness is precisely why this native New Yorker remains relevant. 'It's about keeping an open mind,' Morales explains. Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression.
