For six decades, Robin Trower's career has been an act of quiet rebellion. Rewind the reels of the British guitarist's backstory and you'll find an artist who has always rolled the dice rather than take the path of least resistance. In the early'70s, Trower announced his fearless streak by leaving the security of Procol Harum for a gold-selling solo career whose ever-present Bridge Of Sighs album filled the stadiums of North America. Since then, he's flowed from his own projects to collaborations with everyone from Jack Bruce to the United State Of Mind supergroup alongside Maxi Priest and Livingstone Brown. For an artist with such a pedigree as Robin's, having made dozens of albums, concert performances on DVD are much rarer items. 2005 was the first recorded performance with his own band. The only other DVD was made with Jack Bruce and Gary Husband in 2009. A new concert DVD was long overdue. After taking a break for the last few years Robin returned to work to make his latest album Joyful Sky with New York vocalist Sari Schorr. This album was released in October 2023 to tremendous critical acclaim. Having enjoyed the recording sessions so much, Robin was inspired to look for an opportunity to play these new songs live. Rehearsals with his band Richard Watts, Chris Taggart and Sari were arranged, a concert hall and a film crew booked. So in September '23 Robin recorded his 2nd ever live concert video. To make the event even more significant, Robin decided to perform classic tracks such as Bridge Of Sighs and Day Of The Eagle.. Robin, Sari and the band were all on fantastic form and a unique visual testament to a unique artist was created.
