There is a decision tree and a learning curve with new stuff. Learning curve first: Remove the transparent plastic tips that come on the end of ALL new optical cables. Really. They won't work right unless you do. It's like looking for the "Return" key on a computer keyboard. Somebody has to clue you that what you want to use is not "Return"-- it's called "enter". Yes, devastatingly simple. Unless you grew up with me and used a typewriter... and the decision tree: Do you need a short cable? Use this one (1.5 feet) and avoid messy coils of cable that really are quite relatively flyaway and rigid. Good stuff that works.

Used this for a stereo and The audio is great. I notice sometimes when I play music on my Apple TV that it comes on loud then drops in volume after 3-4 seconds. But other than that it’s great.

These Rocketfish 1.5' digital audio cable (optical) are good for the price. I used it for a connection for a sound bar to a tv set in one of our spare bedrooms. It worked with no issues.

Very good for audio quality and easy to set up with digital audio systems. I personally think that if you need duel sound like tv plus sound bar then you can get better result by ut.

I use this cable to connect my TV to my amp. The sound is clear and crisp. Very easy to connect and I have had no distortion issues listening to multiple types of audio.

All of my components are "dated" units that still perform extremely well because they are high end. After down sizing my entertainment center I needed some shorter cables. As my (dated) Pioneer Elite DVD unit does not utilize HDMI I chose to utilize a digital/optical audio cable. Due to HDMI; the selections of other cables seem to be diminishing. This "simple" cable works great; no complaints..could have used a shorter cable; otherwise no issues.

Quality cable used to connect sound bar to TV. Simple to connect. Be sure to remove plastic tips covering connections points.

A good cable with nice quality , the price was good also. But the length might not work unless your component is close.

Bought new 4K TV and tried to connect RCA connections for wireless headphones! Never seen these before and once I figured out what the little square hole in the TV was I bought this jumper cable to run to RCA-Optical Coax splitter. Just remember to take the protective rubber caps off of the terminals!

More than enough length for home theater setups, might be too long for basic soundbar setups. This is perfect for home theaters that have large screens that have media centers with a substantial distance between components.
