I use premium HDMI cables to bring out Deep Color / HDR /4K in the latest LG OLED 4K UHD TV. This is my first opportunity to purchase a Rocketfish cable from Best Buy instead of the much more expensive and highly advertised premium cable brand. The 2 photos show Rocketfish HDMI plugged into my 65" LG OLED, next to more expensive, competitive premium cables. The picture quality through the Rocketfish HDMI is stunning using 4K UHD Blu-ray & Amazon 4K Fire TV playing 4K source material. I could not see any difference between the Rocketfish and the most highly advertised brands shown in my photo that cost several times more. Examinations of the cable's physical attributes show very expensive materials, with no shortcuts. The cable is very thick (approximately 3/8" diameter) because of the extra shielding in the cable. The plugs are made of cast aluminum, an incredibly strong, lightweight material with the highest shielding properties - the thickness & the plugs are exactly the same as the most expensive "premium brand" cables. Beware of THIN HDMI cables. They lack the extra layer of shielding that is essential to reduce RFI interference, which can show up as color imbalance between Red, Blue & Green. Thin HDMI cables cost less, and are less expensive to manufacture. Avoid plastic plugs, because they lack the interference shielding of metal. On the "high end" extreme, Cast aluminum plugs add physical strength to great shielding (they won't break if hit). This cable made a believer out of me. Rocketfish offers the absolute BEST in quality 4K UHD Deep Color HDR signal transmission with the highest shielding from signal interference at the best value. Rocketfish earns my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!

I needed an HDMI cable for a new Roku 4K streaming device. I am not sure I had to spend this much to get one that would work, but the quality looked a lot better than the next less expensive one, and it wasn't that much less. I know some people believe in buying expensive cables and others think it's a total waste of money and you should just buy the cheapest one you can get. I'm somewhere in the middle. The plugs and the quality of the casing is important just in terms of durability. Whether the electronic signal that's transmitted over an expensive cable is superior to a less expensive cable is way beyond my knowledge level.

Alright, everyone questions why some HDMI cables cost more than others. Here's why: they carry more data, and have less transmission errors than cheaper ones. This cable is very high quality and the audio/video errors are much, much lower in this cable than any other cables I've bought at Best Buy. The cable is thick, the ends are heavy, and it just feels expensive and well made. If you have a 4K TV, this is a must. Using the cheaper cables will NOT get you the 4K picture you paid for. I use these on all of my 4K TVs and have never had a problem with them.
