Initially I was unsure of whether this was a good purchase or not. I now know to look at it as a sort of built-in protection plan for my T.V. & Surround Sound System as well as my Xbox One. Which are all of the products that I have powered through this Rocketfish 6-Plug Surge Protector. Had a severe storm the other day that caused the electricity to flicker from time-to-time. Everything except the 3 items listed above, flickered along with the house. My T.V. and Xbox One, I feel, were protected fully in case the power surged from the storm and could have potentially caused damage. Also I should mention that the HDMI Cable that came in the package was well worth it as well. It just looks like a piece of great technology and sturdy as heck!

This is a great power strip. Good quality. I bought to mount under my stand up desk and allow me to only have one power cord coming off the desk for all the stuff needing power on the desk. This also allows some extra USB charging ports also without needing to take up and additional power plug. The ONE negative is that the outlets are oriented in a way that makes it difficult to put the power bricks into it. If they were turned 90 degrees things would fit better. I had to add one of the 1' cord adapters to be able to plug that in. I bought this knowing that I wouldn't use the HDMI cable but the price was right at the time. The HDMI cable seems like a good quality cable.

so i bought 2 of these outlets and the 4k hdmi which was just a bonus, but so far the work great, even the 4k hdmi cables (2 ps4 pros and using their standard hdmi that came with it the screen would black out for a couple seconds which is annoying when gaming but these ones fixed that isssue). the only bad thing and i don't know why outlet manufactures don't do this is there's not enough space between the plugs to use every plug as most electronics dont come with the small plug and have weird sizes. the pics are whats plugged into this ver. of outlet (the 2 nintendo ones in pic wont fit next to each other) and the far more expensive one

No problems with the hdmi cable, but the outlet source is very poor quality material i connect a little fan heater and the contact plastic melt around the pins , still working but expect more for the price.

After using this product for a while I can tell you there are some usability issues. First of all: yes, it looks like a good quality product. It still works. Kudos to Rocketfish. But, I am not sure how the product designers placed the plugs too close. (See attached photo). Yes there are plugs of many shapes and sizes, and yes I understand you should not overload the plugs in the first place to create fire hazards, but not having the ability to load two slim plugs next to each other... (Rocketfish can contact me if they need a product tester before the products get mass produced.)

First off, after researching 4k tvs, I've come to the conclusion that there are few differences between the 4k HDMI cables and the regular old HDMI cables that seem to be multiplying in my supply stash. Several experts say to just use your current cables, if you've purchased them in the last year or so. However, being a "better safe than sorry" guy, I went ahead and purchased this combo the same time I purchased my TV. If you are like me and you're spending a rather large sum of money (for me at least) on a quality tv, might as well spend another $40 on a good surge protector and cable. At regular price $79.00 I would have gone a different route, but I've owned several Insignia and Rocketfish items (Best Buy's private labels) and I've always been happy. Picture looks great and I feel better with a new surge protector protecting my investment. It's also a nice bonus being able to plug in usb items.

This was a great value. I was in need of some new surge protectors and these were on sale for $30. I bought two! Plus they came with an extra HDMI which is always good to have! Easy to mount as well

With standard outlet and USB ports, plus a cord, this is worth the money. It saves me from buying multiple different items and works great without the hassle.

This was a great deal! I got a 7-outlet/2-USB surge protector packaged with a 4K Ultra HD HDMI 8-foot cable for only $21.39 (including tax)! I like having 2 USB ports on the surge protector which comes in handy when charging my devices that charge via a USB cable. I only needed a surge protector, but it was a plus getting a 4K Ultra HD HDMI cable packaged with it for a great price! They both work well!

we were going to buy a more expensive surge protector - but this one had more protection and more outlets - a very good value !

I have used other wire and surge protectors, but all in all, the wire is beefier, hd transfers excellently, and even the surge protector is ultra (pun intended) cool looking and effective. The bright blue light (to let you know it is powered up) is a bit much if you have it in your view because of the brightness.

I bought a different surge protector from Rocketfish for my living room, the 10 outlet one with 6 USB ports, and I absolutely love it. When it came time to upgrading my gaming/movie room, there was no question I was going to buy another from Rocketfish. I didn't need as many outlets as my living room and the fact that these game with 4k HDMI cables, it was a perfect fit for my PS4 Pro.

I can’t get over how expensive surge protectors are. But good ones are worth it. I use one in my tortoise house, with high wattage lights and heaters. My first one blew out (nearly caught on fire) after about a year. The second couldn’t handle the power and kept tripping. So I spent the money and (knock on wood) this one has been good. I didn’t need the HDMI cable, but this one was on sale

The Rocketfish kit was a great all-in-one solution as I set up my new UHD TV. I needed several outlets and this kit included a 7-Outlet/2-USB Surge Protector (great for those small dongle-based TV sticks) and the all-important 8' 4K UltraHD, In-Wall Certified HDMI Cable, so I could get the best out of my 4K Blu-Ray player and other input sources!

I purchased two of these Rocketfish Surge Protectors after I lost one TV due to a power outage in my home. I wish I would’ve purchased this sooner. This item is very easy to install and it works great! I would recommend it to anyone that has electronics in their home, and lives in area that is affected by outages or hurricanes.

This combo surge protector and HDMI cable was the best deal I saw so I bought it. The single strip surge protector was all I needed but after working out how to set up my new equipment, it turned out that the cable wasn't long enough. Both were quality products and at the price I paid I was getting one free! Just be certain you need both items before buying.

Got this on sale for $50 off. Regularly $80 and only cost me $30. And it came with a UHD 4K In-wall Certified HDMI Cable. The cable alone can cost upwards to $30. So I basically got a great surge protector for free. Bonus: And the unit has two USB ports for charging or powering various items. Really great value and works perfectly with my UHD 4K TV.
