It’s a power cord, nothing fancy. Tried using it on a Vizio sound bar, ended up needing something longer but as a replacement it worked just fine.

I am always a sucker for having spare cords in places I need them. I have a few newer portable radios and speakers that use this type of cord that have batteries and charge with this. I also have several classic radios that use classoc batteries that use this cord. This is also a cord style on 2 of my tv's. I saw this and at an 8 foot length, braided style, I felt compelled to get it. I have been wanting another for travel. It stands out amongst other cords because it is braided. Durability wise, it seems built well, as thick as the others I have, but not in the dual rubber coating put together, just the one smooth braided cable. It connected to all the devices I tried and worked. This is likely going to be my one I keep in my car as a spare. It's happened a few times that when I think something will last for the few days I'm away from the house and it dies. This happened recently and when I saw this, I got it. This does the job. The price on it seems very reasonable compare to another one I have. The length is longer than the original 4 to 5 foot ones that come with items. Thus gives me piece of mind I can reach an outlet in most hotel rooms or places that I am. I reccomend this cord. No faults.

Rocketfish is my "go to" brand for high quality home theater & cable accessories. Since their introduction in 2003, Rocketfish consistantly offers high build quality with extreme reliability at very attractive price points. The C7 connector is found on PlayStation, Xbox, laptop power supplies, DVD/Blu-ray players, TVs, and soundbars. I upgraded my Blu-ray player power cord with this super durable cable. This power cord is a beautifully crafted gem. Both the C7 end & the power plug are fitted with molded connectors, providing extreme strain relief at the two points most likely to suffer from fatigue. The braided outer layer is my favorite feature. It makes the cable more rigid, so this cord is less susceptible to kinking, twisting and tangling. It further protects against cuts. This cable is electrically rated at 125 VAC, 7 Amp, 875 Watt & is affixed with a label identifying the rating near the power plug. CONCLUSION: Check out your electronic products listed above. If you find a rare C7 connector with the "double 8" (non-polarized), this cable will not replace it. Look for the industry standard C7 connector with one round & one square end (polarized) - see attached photo. This is the best cable I have found, at any price, to replace old C7 polarized cords & earns my highest recommendation.

This is a high-quality replacement power cord. Rocketfish is a Best Buy store brand that occupies the premium accessory category. Accessories that carry the Rocketfish label are manufactured to elevated standards of finish and performance. This heavy duty 18 gauge power cord has a braided outer layer which will provide extra cord cord strength and structural integrity. This product is an excellent choice if you need to replace a polarized power cord that is lost or damaged. It is also a great choice if you need a longer power cord than the standard 6 foot cord length. I am using it with a device that needs some extra length to easily reach a surge protector. Of critical importance is that this power cord is polarized. Polarized power cords are not interchangeable with non-polarized power cords. The shape of the prong is different between both types so it is not possible to use this cord with a non-polarized connection. So before you get this product make sure that you match the connection product to the device you are going to use it with.

There’s not a lot you can say about a power cord. Does it plug into my turntable? Check! Does it plug into the wall? Check! Does the turntable turn on with it plugged in? Check! The cable itself is nicer than what you typically would get with a stock power cord. My version came with a polarized connector, which assures that you can’t plug it in the right way. It fit the jack on my turntable without an issue, and comes with a braided shield/cover that runs the length of the cable. The eight foot length is nice too, as most stock cords come in shorter three foot or 6 foot runs. I didn’t notice much difference in the sound output out of my turntable with the Rocketfish in place, but it seemed to me that there was a slight increase in clarity and detail in the treble regions and a tightening of the bass in the lower regions. I know that many might feel that a cable won’t make a difference in sound or video quality, but I have found that power cords that are made well reject external influences such as noise better and can add to the quality of the sound. Regardless, the Rocketfish polarized braided cord is a high quality power cord that feels like it will last for a long time.

The Rocketfish™ 8 ft. Polarized Braided Power Cord is a perfect replacement for a lost or damaged C7P or polarized power cord. This cord is flat on one side and is NOT a figure 8 cord - that would be the non-polarized version. Make sure you are getting the one you need. One of our little feline fur babies (we're not certain which one) decided to chew on the power cord behind our Vizio TV. Needless to say, we needed a new one and this was the absolute perfect replacement for us. And as a bonus, this 8 foot Rocketfish cord is 2 feet longer than the cord that came with the TV. The added length provides the reach I needed to be able to wrap the cord so that it can't be chewed again. This power cord definitely seems strong and durable. The Rocketfish 8 ft. Polarized Braided Power Cord is a great length and terrific replacement that I feel safe using in my home. This 2 slot polarized braided cord is18AWG wire gauge with a 7A amp rating and it is UL certified. Rocketfish is a Best Buy brand. I highly recommend this power cord.

The rocket fish polarized braided power cable is an excellent choice and you might not even know why. This will fit most products like Sony TVs and many name brand products that are for entertainment purposes I know from testing it that it worked perfectly with my large Sony TV and my PlayStation. I took a picture which is included in my review so you could see how the port looks for your device. What I specifically like about this cable is that it’s 8 foot long so it’s typically a little bit longer than your normal cable. I know for a fact that my Sony TV’s power cable is short. I have it on my wall And the power cable was stretched at its max. Now that I have this cable it adds about I would say two more feet. I probably have a 6 foot on there now and there’s plenty of wiggle room. Furthermore, this cable is braided so it’s a little bit more flexible to work with and it actually while somebody won’t really notice that the cables are braided from the room allows you to make the cable straighter so it doesn’t look all like a mess in the back behind the TV to be honest. Yes it looks nice but to me it’s more about making it look straighter and cleaner rather than the actual appearance of the braided design. The cable is also a little bit thicker at 18 gauge which rocket fish says, provides a more reliable source of power for your device. Overall, if you’re looking to have a better cable for your home entertainment device or a device that would fit this type of plug and you want something that’s easier to manage to straighten out rather than your typical power cord. I would highly recommend this power cable or if you needed a few more extra feet than what came with your device. Also, you could’ve lost your power cable and this would be an excellent replacement

Used to replace an old Bose sound bar. This product worked for my needs and should work great for you too.
Went to the store to purchase. Best Buy seriously needs to consider having more than one cashier. SMH. Took forever.

It may not seem like a big deal for some, but I think all cables should be braided. I recently lost the power cord for my PS5 and I needed something quick. I picked up this Rocketfish polarized braided cord and it has worked flawlessly. The cable has a premium feel and is incredibly flexible for easy routing in my entertainment cabinet. The package arrived a bit destroyed but the cable was absolutely fine. This 8 foot cable was also much longer than the cable I had which opened new opportunities for the placement of my PS5. The length will also be great for when I eventually run the power through the wall to hide the power and HDMI cables. I’ve had several Rocketfish products over the years and they’ve never let me down. Rocketfish is typically more affordable than original manufacturer components and, in this case, offer a product I wouldn’t be able to get from Sony even if I wanted to. The quality for price is unmatched and I will most likely spring for another when I decide to finally find a permanent spot for my PS5 Pro in the basement.

The Rocketfish 8 ft. Polarized Braided Power Cord is one of those products that just hide in the background, do their job, and give an added degree of peace-of-mind. There’s not a lot you can say about a power cord. The key features with this Rocketfish cord are both found in it’s name - polarized and braided. Both are important. First of all, the braided feature gives you a level of quality that means you can rely on it to withstand normal - and beyond normal - wear and tear. The 8-foot length is a welcome bonus as it’s always nice to have room to easily reach nearby power sources. Secondly, it’s essential that you notice that this is a ‘polarized’ power cord. It will only work with the right equipment sporting the appropriate cord receptacle. The only thing left to mention is it’s clear that Rocketfish is seeking to expand their offerings of quality electronic accessories. This is a good example. I definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking for a quality, polarized power cord.

I don’t have as much to say about this as I do most other products from Best Buy - this Rocketfish polarized power cord makes for a quick and convenient replacement for existing cords that have been damaged or went missing. I do like that it’s an 8 foot cord as opposed to the usual 5- or 6-foot cords, giving better reach without needing to revert to a plug bar or extension cord if your device is just far enough from the nearest AC outlet. I’m using this as a universal AC cord for some older videogame consoles - the Sega Saturn and (thick) Playstation 2 both use polarized power cords and this one works great with them both. I do like that it’s braided for durability, since in my retro gaming setup I tend to swap out consoles often and that can put some additional wear on the cords. One thing I’m not so much a fan of is that the AC outlet end is smooth, tapered plastic with no ridge or indent for grip, so it’s more likely you’ll be pulling on the cord rather than the base to remove it from the wall, increasing chances of the cord fraying or splitting. It’s also a touch pricey for a power cord, though the increased length and overall build quality offset that some. If it suits your needs better than the cheap cords out there, then I would recommend!

I am writing this review for the Rocketfish 8’ Polarized Braided Power Cord. The first thing I want to point out is that finally, a power cord that is long enough. I think we’ve all been there and seen it…that two-feet gap between the end of the power cord and the wall socket as you’re trying to hook up another piece of electronics…only to have to turn around and rearrange everything just to be able to have everything plugged in. And its times like this that you can’t remember where you put the extension cord. But at a tad bit over 8’ long, you probably won’t have to deal with that with the Rocketfish 8’ power cord. For those of you who may not know, Rocketfish is Best Buy’s in-house premium accessory line. And when you look at products such as the Rocketfish 8’ power cord, you can see why. Everything about it is premium. The quality of both the materials and the build is exceptional. There are no rough edges or seams. The braid is absolutely made to withstand even the most rigorous wear and tear. Even the mold seams are flawlessly smooth and even. So it looks great. How does it work? As with any “store brand” product, there is always the question, “Will it fit correctly and properly?” I have a ton of electronics that take the NEMA 1-15P to IEC C7 or figure-8 style power cord, speakers, peripherals, etc, so I was curious to see just how well the figure-8 plug would fit. Every single item I tried was a perfect fit. No struggling to put it in, no trying to fall out of the port because it was too loose. Just an absolutely perfect fit. So is it a good buy? You bet! It would be nice if it was a shielded cable, but as I think about it, even in its current location there is no real need for shielded cable. So I’m good there. And in all seriousness, the extra two feet in length (as compared to a lot of the “other” cords) makes it an even greater bargain. If you are looking for a longer cable that is exceptionally well-made and durable, the Rocketfish 8’ Polarized Braided Power Cord is the perfect choice!

Setup and Use I grabbed this Rocketfish braided power cord to replace a shorter, flimsy cable behind my TV. The braided jacket gives it a premium feel, and at 8 ft, it’s two feet longer than many stock cables—so no stretching or awkward routing to reach my outlet. It’s a polarized C7‑style plug (flat one side), rated at 18 AWG with 7 A capacity, so it powers standard electronics safely and reliably. Cable Quality and Durability Right off the bat, this cord stands out. The build quality feels solid—no rough seams or cheap molding. The braid covers the entire length evenly, and you can tell it’s designed to resist wear and tear—whether from tugs, bends, or pets. The UL certification gives peace of mind, and user reviews consistently call it “strong and durable” and “exceptionally well-made”. Reddit and product feedback confirm that Rocketfish often nails mid-tier accessory quality—built to last and useful for longer reach, even if it doesn’t impact digital performance directly. Length and Versatility The 8‑foot length really makes a difference. In my case, I needed slack to route the cord around furniture and through a surge protector without straining it. It solved that problem cleanly without needing an ugly extension cord or cable stacking. Final Thoughts If you need a longer, reliable replacement for your polarized figure‑8 power cord, this Rocketfish is a dependable choice. It’s well-constructed, UL‑certified, and long enough to eliminate awkward setups. Whether you’re powering a gaming console, sound bar, or small AV gear, it holds up under daily use.
