Q: is this compatible with galaxy s3

A: I have the galaxy S3 and I can't get it to work either. I think you have to use the special adapter provided by Samsung.

Q: Do this work with the LG G3? and if so will it work on any samsung tv? So far nothing i think it may be on the way back. WHAT TO DO

A: I use the Note 4 and it works like a dream. If you see in the picture that little additional adapter, that needs to be connected to the main device. From there simply plug the HDMI side into your TV and the newly extended connector into your phone and you should be good to go. To not burn through your battery too fast, also plug a power cable into the port near the HDMI out cable.

A: It has a special adaptor for Samsung products at first I didn't put that on but as soon as I did it worked and the picture quality is so great i use this over chrome cast to screen cast movies or videos on my g4 note 4 and even a burner phone my son uses so I'd say absolutely it would work but I'm going off myself and my samsung products i don't have your exact model phone easy to hook up to hdmi and ur phone is mirrored onto the tv hope it works for you if you buy it and you ll definitely be happy with the purchase my kids are ecstatic they fight over who gets to watch the phone next on the big tv

Inexpensive Alternative!!! :)
I was told by many people that I could not use this with my Galaxy s3. They said that the only one that would work is the expensive name brand one that Samsung makes. However, I am happy to report that this is a fantastic alternative. The picture clarity was amazing and the audio was spot on with no latency. Why spend almost $100 bucks on name brand, when you can get the same quality with this? Almost 2 years later and I still have no issues!!

Works great
Iam using it with Samsung Tab s with the extra adaptor provided, it works well but without the adaptor with normal connector it won't connect, also it doesn't charge my Tab s though I'm connecting charger on MHL adaptor, however video quality is excellent

Great to stream from phone to TV
Got approval at work to bring in a TV to watch the 2014 World Cup while at work but we can't stream from our computers. This device allowed us to use Univision or ESPN app to watch the game and stream it from the phone to the TV we had. Worked perfect for what we needed. No loss in picture quality. It charges your phone while you watch (need charger cable), although my phone actually used more battery than it could charge. Plug and Play. It basically duplicates whatever is on your phones screen to the TV. We used the product with a Galaxy S3 and S4. Converter does not work with a lot of phones however.
