This Rocketfish™ RF-WSW312 wireless transmitter/receiver kit makes it easy to equip your home theater system with a wireless subwoofer (not included). Up to a 45' wireless range allows flexible speaker placement.
A: It should work well. I have the wireless rear and the wireless subwoofer system on my system. No problems with wifi or Sonos system interference and have had this setup for years.
Q: Low Level Thump noise then nothing
A: actually i was having the same issue - asked my install guy - apparently i had the volume knob on the side of the subwoofer turned up too high from when we were testing out the system. Once i turned it down the thumps stopped. haven't had a problem since.
A: The latency is 37ms when measured with a scope.
Q: Does this transmit the full audio spectrum? I know it's a single channel (mono)
A: I was curious about using this device to extend line level audio. What I found was that it transmits more than enough spectrum for a sub woofer, and it has a smooth roll off in the vicinity of 5 KHz or so. This is important, because you don't want it to interfere with your crossover frequencies. So, this device isn't really suited to extend music to another line source, which is very disappointing, but it would be suited to extend voice quality audio to another room. This could be an idea device for extending conference call audio, paging audio, to another powered speaker. If the powered speaker has a treble control, you could definitely squeeze some good speech diction out of it (the T and S sounds).
Q: Why does this keep popping? Is it because of a delay? Anyone else experiencing this?
A: I had this SAME ISSUE and hated the popping! My fix was easy and came after trying several things. Most suggestions are to move things around (listened to all the line of sight comments, avoid other devices, moved them closer together etc), I even bought RFI filtered power strips to avoid any noise coming directly from a wall plug. Didn't do it. FINAL ANSWER IS ! If your sub has only a L/R plug and no direct sub line, then you MUST match it on the receiver end as well ! Even though my receiver has a direct sub line for some reason when I used adapters (not included) on both ends matching L/R. The popping stopped, even at super low TV sound (mainly dialogue w/no action) which was my biggest pet peeve. It would kick on/off like crazy. Mind you the wireless will still shut off the sub after about 15 seconds if no activity but you wont notice it. After I moved everything back to my original setup, over 15 ft away, no line of sight, everything tucked away and hidden. Works great! Hope its not to late!! or maybe revisit with this approach. Best of luck!
Q: can this unit be used in a cabinet with a wireless router
A: It will work, but there is a chance for interference since they both operate in the 2.4 GHz wireless range.
Q: Can it be used for surround and subwoofer - 3 in a system?
A: There's a separate Rocketfish wireless stereo speaker kit Best Buy sells that you could buy in addition to the wireless subwoofer kit to perform what you're asking.
Q: Is power adapter dual voltage?
A: The power supplies for both units are 100-240V capable.
