Ruby Throws Sparks
Very clever idea - every writer's fantasy - that their dream girl - leaps from the pages of their word processor as flesh and blood. Well written (and acted in the title role) by Zoe Kazan with her real life boyfriend playing her on screen love interst (the aforesaid scribe). Funny and bittersweet. If you missed it in a theater - now's your chance.
I liked the movie, but beware that it is advertised as digital copy and it does not have it. BestBuy was very good about it. They shipped me a second copy which also had no digital copy. They finally gave me credit because it is incorrectly advertised and they have still not pulled the description. If you only want the movie you are fine.
If you like 500 Days of Summer, you will love this indie gem! Sweet and imaginative and gives you a unique perspective on relationships. Also, real life quirky power couple Zoe Kazan and Paul Dano have great chemistry and really shine. Even more beautiful in blu-ray, the colors are vibrant and just pop!
