About this product
Who in the Hell is Rumi Missabu? Find out as we follow the wild life of a counter-culture and drag icon who would eventually become known as Rumi Missabu. A founding member of the radical queer performance group, The Cockettes, Rumi leaves Hollywood a trained child actor and dives headfirst into the LSD fueled hippie culture of San Francisco. The lifestyle and brief brush with celebrity leads to Rumi burning out and disappearing off the grid for decades. Through anecdotes and interviews with the male actress at it's center, as well as fever-dream animation bringing to life those tales too outlandish to go unseen, RUMINATIONS explores a cult performance legend's rise, fall, and re-emergence at the end of his life.

The film provides the solution to police use of excessive force. Renowned experts from various fields offer insight into seven prominent cases while exploring unique techniques that could be used by law enforcement to avoid excessive force.
In December 1969, legendary jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk ended his European concert tour with a performance at the Salle Pleyel in Paris. Before the show, he was invited to appear on a French television program to perform and answer questions in an intimate setting. Using newly discovered footage from this recording, director Alain Gomis (FÉLICITÉ) reveals the disconnect between Monk and his interviewer, Henri Renaud, whose unwittingly trivializing approach conveys the casual racism and exploitation prevalent in the music industry at large. A fascinating behind-the-scenes documentary with extraordinary rarely-seen performances, REWIND & PLAY offers a unique opportunity to see Monk in a way that very few people did.
