The classic action-RPG and life-simulation gameplay beloved by Rune Factory fans across the globe is boldly reimagined in Guardians of Azuma. This all-new adventure takes place in the never-before-seen eastern country of Azuma where you will assume the Earth Dancer powers and fight against the corruption spreading throughout Azuma to bring hope back to this once-prosperous land. Choose from one of two protagonists whose destinies are intertwined by mysterious forces. Use sacred treasures to fight against the Blight’s many forms to restore the people, and even gods, to their natural glory. Take farming further, rebuilding entire villages and cultivating new allies and resources along the way. Explore seasonal-themed villages heavily inspired by traditional Japanese culture, each with brand-new festivals and revamped fan-favorites, as well as charming romance candidates.

Battle hordes of enemies in the untold story of the Imprisoning War. Fight the war for Ancient Hyrule! Step on to the battlefield as Princess Zelda, King Rauru, and other legendary heroes as you fight to reclaim your homeland—and live the story of Demon King Ganondorf’s invasion that was only briefly alluded to in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom game. Fight alongside new and familiar heroes to defend Hyrule from the Demon King. Princess Zelda is not alone in this war! Join Mineru, the Sages, and even some brand-new heroes in battles against Ganondorf’s forces. Combine powerful Zonai Devices with your heroes’ signature abilities to take down powerful bosses and their legions of minions. Team up with a friend in two-player local co-op via split screen or GameShare. Join up with a friend for two-player local co-op, and you can spread out to cover more ground as the war unfolds—or stick together and combine your powers to smash the opposition. Play split-screen on a single system, or on two separate systems via GameShare—either way, only one person needs to have the game. Use save data from Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity or The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to get additional weapons. If you have save data from the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity game on your system when you play, you’ll receive a High Guard’s Claymore. If you have save data from the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom game, you receive a High Guard’s Sword. These weapons can be redeemed after returning to the Hyrule map upon completion of The Howling Tempest mission.

Your Miis are bound to surprise you as they take on a life of their own! Become the caretaker of an island full of silliness, drama, love, and other surprises. Populate your island with Miis and then pick them up and place them near each other to chat and hang out. Watch your Miis forge unlikely friendships, get into fights, fall in (and out of) love unexpectedly, and so much more as they live their lives! Get to know what your Mii characters like as you take care of them. Give them clothes, food, items, and—most importantly—life advice as they deal with all kinds of problems and situations. You’ll also naturally help shape the community as Miis may pick up and start using the words and phrases you teach them. Build, decorate, and give gifts to make your Miis happy. Shape your landscape! Design your island and place homes, stores, restaurants, and more to supply events and entertainment for your community. Decorate your Mii characters' homes by gifting them furniture, wallpaper, floors, custom-designed interior and exterior decorations, and more—and create pets, food, clothing, and items like books and video games to suit each Mii!
