    Very nice suitcase—almost perfect, except...

    Very nice suitcase—almost perfect, with just two drawbacks. First, I’m used to soft-sided luggage, so the clamshell design on this hard-shell takes some getting used to. You really need a flat surface and space to open both halves, whereas with soft-sided luggage the top opens without needing support. If you prefer hard-shell luggage, that’s just part of the design. Second (and this one feels like a miss), there’s no bottom handle to help lift the suitcase. That’s surprisingly inconvenient when loading it into a car or onto a luggage rack.
