I’ve been running this Samsung 9100 PRO since October because I wanted to see how it held up before reporting back. My only real regret is that I didn’t buy two of them while I was at it. I’m using this with a Ryzen 9950X and an X870E motherboard, and the speeds are absolutely top-tier. I had some "crucial" stability issues with a drive from another vendor, but this Samsung has been flawless. The Samsung Magician software made cloning my old drive a breeze with zero errors. The heatsink does its job well, though my only minor complaint is that it's not meant to be removed, which makes the motherboard look a bit different—but my GPU blocks the view anyway, so it doesn't matter. Huge shout out to the Augusta, Maine Best Buy team for a much better experience than my recent online orders elsewhere!

I recently installed the Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB with heatsink into my system, and after running a few CrystalDiskMark tests, I can confidently say: this drive is a beast. Amazing fast asf boi!!!! Had a local guy install it and program it running like Husain Bolt. Load time is very noticeable in gaming factors.

Purchased as a primary drive in a new high-end PC build on an Asus ROG Strix X870E-H MB with an AMD 9800x3d and Radeon RX 9070 XT. SSD is extremely fast on boot, launching/saving/loading games, etc. Is it a noticable difference coming from a PCIe 4.0 X4 drive? I'd say yes, but my previous PC was built 4 years ago so YMMV. Note that this is the model with attached heatsink which did not allow for the usage of the motherboard's included heatsink. That was fine with me, as the primary Asus ROG Strix X870E-H NVMe slot's heatsink is separate from the rest of the motherboard's heatsink plate. If I buy another (which his highly likely once prices come back down) I'll buy the model without the heatsink.

Easy plug and play HD. Price was right and good performance. Not really much to say other than it works as it's suppose to. Was up and running after it was formatted/initialzed in no time.

i purchased this because i wanted yet again faster read write speed. but i didnt realize my board wasnt gen 5 so i cant utilize this ssd to its full potential. still performs well. and i guess if its still good by the time i upgrade if i do. then ill have an even quicker computer. still would recommend. samsung really does have great ssds.

It is great. Easy to install and gives fast spped.

Used Samsung Magician to copy all the info from my old drive to this one. it comes with a heat sync which is nice because it helps keep it cool, but in my laptop will only fit in the SSD Slot 2 which is fine. I ran performance tests on it and it runs better than the NVMe SSD i had in the laptop. I have had zero issues with it so far.

If you’re looking at the Samsung 9100 Pro SSD for personal use, know it’s really built for enterprise workloads, not everyday gaming or storage. Performance is excellent—fast reads/writes, very reliable under heavy sustained use—but it runs warm and costs more per GB than standard consumer drives. For me, it feels like overkill in a home setup, but if you’re running constant large file transfers, virtualization, or workstation-level tasks, it makes sense. For typical gaming or daily use, a Samsung 980 Pro or 990 Pro would be a smarter fit.

I upgraded from a 256GB SSD to this Samsung 9100 Pro 2TB, and the experience has been excellent. Samsung Data Migration cloned my Windows installation successfully, and the system booted without any issues. Performance is noticeably faster, and the drive runs cool with the included heatsink. Samsung Magician is also very useful for monitoring and benchmarking the drive. I highly recommend this SSD for anyone looking for a fast and reliable upgrade.

You can't beat this m.2 2TB with heatsink. There is nothing quite like the speed of a PCIe 5.0. Speeds listed are about what I've gotten, so I'm extremely happy with it.

Fastest ssd I’ve ever had. I don’t have a good WiFi connection but still downloads 100+ gigs in 30 minutes.

It's faster than sonic the hedge hog. Highly recomend finding a heatsink. Replacement if placing in a ITX build
