This really looks nice where we replaced our old recirculating hood with this combo unit. The small 1.1cu. ft size is not problem for what we use the microwave for. Lighted buttons would be nice touch, but really 95% of the time there is a room light on, so not big deal. The reason for why I withheld a 5 star rating is the sound when using the hood, a F18 flyby may be quieter. We will not be using the hood very much due to the noise. The main reason we bought this was to clear off counter space where the old microwave set, which worked out very well.

We just installed our Samsung - 1.1 cu. ft. Smart SLIM Over-the-Range Microwave and sleek looking has a super intuitive touch pad. Many microwaves have you pushing multiple buttons to start it. This one is as easy as pushing in the the time to cook then pressing start. The 400 CFM ventilation is more than sufficient and it has three levels of intensity. So far we are happy with the unit and highly recommend it.

Works great and it’s beautiful. Because it’s a slim stove top design, it shows our backsplash in the kitchen way better. The vent and lighting are also great.

I love this Samsung SLIM Microhood. It really works well, has a porcelain interior for easy cleaning, and looks great too. It is shorter in height than normal microwaves but that is a plus if it is over your range. My old microwave's control panel got baked and I had to replace the control board three times on it. Since this one is shorter, it is further from the heat generated by the range, meaning less chance of frying the control board. The fan works well. I am not using the Wi-Fi functions on it so I can't speak to those functions. Overall, I would recommend it. Solid choice.

The otr microwave/hood vent combination does stick out past our standard size cabinets about 6" and didnt expect that at installation. I only measured width for the fit. Paired with a matching samsung gas range the package as a whole looks very nice and has a commercial kitchen feel to it. The microwave functions extremely efficient and has a beautiful easy clean finish with almost no hard to clean spots inside. The hood function took me by surprise by how strong it pulled air on high. Having 4 speed settings is nice for the vent. My favorite feature is the easy to remove and clean dual vent covers under the unit. Its very easy to keep it clean and nice. My only issue is the cabinets above it are about as useful as the ones tucked back over a fridge. I need a step stool to reach anything past my wrist with those extra 6" sticking out past the cabinets.

This microwave was an upgrade for the Insignia .9 CF countertop unit I bought 3 years ago at BB that was still going strong, not the most powerful unit but served a purpose. At that time the low-profile "Slim" OTR microwaves were just becoming available and sold for in the $600 range. So I watched and waited. The planets aligned the first week of January 2024 when not only was there a sale at BB, but an excellent open box example popped up fairly locally in tax-free Delaware for a bit under $300. I pounced on it, I think someone literally opened the box and said, "nope not for me" and returned it, unit was pristine. I took my limited electrical skills to task, and removed the existing range hood, installed an electrical outlet in the cabinet and hung this microwave, total time invested was just about three hours, partally because I reversed the polarity on the new outlet and had to hit up YouTube and figure out my blunder! Pros: - Very fast cooking speed - The keypad beeps and boops are different tones depending on what you are doing, which I feel is a quality touch - I was surprised to discover that the interior light is a bright LED that allows easy viewing of the food! Cons: - Loud but effective 4 speed vent fan - common issue per other reviews - Surprisingly the light for the range hood section is halogen, not LED, but it does have low/high settings - Full-width door takes getting used to and could be an issue in a smaller kitchen If you see my photo, the unit is 18 1/2" above the smoothtop surface if that helps you make a decision, I certainly mulled it over long enough. Definitely recommend this unit, it truly enhanced my kitchen without ripping out and trying to build/find a shorter cabinet over the range.

I was a little skeptical buying this only because it is a samsung but this is by far the best microwave i have owned. i wanted a low profile to utilize my space above my stove and i couldn't be happier! I love the finish and the fact it is compatible with an app. Also it is really powerful i don't have to heat up items as long as I used to! I did not use as many tools as I thought, I only used more than normal because we were converting from wired to a plug, which was a huge upgrade! i will be recommending!

The size of this OTR microwave is exactly what we needed. I did not want a bulky unit because we don’t use a microwave on a daily basis. I like the slim and sleek design. I also wanted the room above my stove for when I am cooking. Works well and fits our needs for use, heats up your food evenly. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

Excellent unit. Clear install instructions with wall and top templates. Can’t speak to longevity yet. Feels solidly built. Very heavy so ensure you have some strong backs to help! Looks amazing.

We love this Microwave. The slim design provides ample space between the stove top and bottom of this unit. Fan pairs with oven and stove top so it turns on automatically when either is in use. Pairs with our Samsung Smart TV so messages appear on the screen when the cooking is complete. Looks great too!

Do you want to confuse guests? This one definitely hits the mark. Is it a pizza oven? Is it an air fryer? Is it the future? You can sit back and laugh knowing it heats up your leftovers lol. Spacious, practical, and will be know as the “Wave of the future”.

I love this microwave, it heats up any food you put in super fast. It looks so cool and the wifi features are so convenient and very reliable. The vent system is the best i've seen in action which actually does a really amazing job at taking out all that cooking odor left behind, and is so easy to clean any spills if any.

What an amazing product, we recently replace our microwave as our old one that we had for over 12 years finally gave out. My wife wanted to replace it but wanted something that would not take to much space and this was the perfect fit. Needless to say it looks great, it is slim and has a lot of space for bigger plates. Love the wireless features and the ease of cleaning.

Outstanding, works just like the big ones. More cooktop for taller pots. Looks amazing.

Very nice looking microwave enough features. Easy to install. Connects to Alexa easily. Only complaint is the keypad is not backlit,which makes it hard to see without my reading glasses. If it was it would get 5 stars

Looks so sleek! Love the look of this one. The buttons are super sensitive which is great bc the Samsung 1.7 cu’ one I was replacing, I had to mash the buttons hard for it to pick up my strokes. This one, is sensitive and you barely have to press the buttons, love it! The only couple of issues I have with it are that I’m 5’3” and I can’t see into the microwave to see the progress of the cooking. Like, I was trying to melt cheese on some chips and I couldn’t see in to know if I needed to stop it or not, that is actually a pretty big issue, but I got it knowing that it wouldn’t likely be out of my line of sight. The other thing I didn’t account for was that, while it’s obviously slim/short, it is actually much deeper than the full sized models. So it protrudes out of the space that it’s in. It’s fine with me, doesn’t look terrible, but I hadn’t thought about that aspect, so just a heads up. So far I love it!!

Great size and high powered microwave. Perfect for our small space. Very family friendly. The connection to the wifi is a wonderful feature with the voice commands.

Great unit, I installed it to vent outside, and was very happy to see it moves a good amount of air. Like 80% of all the steam and food smells from the stove. Would definitely recommend. One thing that would make this microwave even better is if the key pad was backlit. It’s hard to find the buttons when heating up a late night snack/meal.
