I was a little nervous about purchasing a Samsung refrigerator because Consumer Reports gave Samsung a low rate for their refrigerators. Unfortunately, I needed a refrigerator and this one was available without waiting and the customer service person at Best Buy assured me the problem was with the bigger Samsung refrigerators and NOT those with just the freezer on top. Since our refrigerator was no longer working I decided to trust the guy at Best Buy and get the Samsung as it kind of made sense to me that those huge refrigerators would be a bigger problem. So far I am happy with our purchase, the refrigerator is so quite the first few nights it was difficult to sleep because we could not hear the rubble of our old refrigerator. The room inside the freezer is nice and the door will make a ding noise if the door is open too long. The Samsung looks nice and I’m glad it is fingerprint resistant. I did think this refrigerator was more pricey than comparable refrigerators with the freezer on top. Originally I was looking for an LG freezer on top refrigerator and the prices were much better and Consumer Reports gave LG a much higher rating than the Samsung, unfortunately everywhere I looked LG was on backorder and there was a 4 month wait at some places for that refrigerator.

I have now owned this fridge for a bit more than 2 years. As far as cooling goes, this does the job. No complaints about the freezer. I don't use the ice maker. Fingerprint resistance is nice. As for the refrigerator design though - I am far from happy. The bottom plastic door shelf cracked and broke. Because the "slide and reach pantry" extends the full width of the fridge, there is not as much height allowed for shelving. Tall heavy things (like a gallon milk jug) need to go in a door shelf - which as I mentioned, broke. If we adjust the shelves to allow for a milk jug, it makes the other shelves too short to be useful - the shelves are already close together, and the light is in the very front so the back is DARK, items are not easily seen or accessible. (The light is in the center ceiling in our old fridge and lights up the shelves so much better.) We are removing the slide and reach pantry to make room for taller things, and will just use our own bin for deli items. I would not purchase this again.

I like the way its silent and doesn't make noise. I also like how it has alot of space inside. I also like the feature where you can convert your freezer into fridge.

Awesome choice for kitchens that have small storage space. I love the ice maker and it is a real sleek looking refridgerator.

Replaced my 13 year old unit. The door was sagging and seals were no longer proper. It is getting more difficult to find top freezer models and located this Open Box unit at a nearby store. It had an icemaker. I didn't have much luck with my previous unit with an icemaker and found the same with this unit. It occurred to me that it was unlikely a problem with both, so I replaced the valve and the problems went away. I bought a thermometer and tested both upper and lower units and adjusted the settings. It is quieter than my previous model and seems to run less, which should be expected. Also I like the door shelves. They run along the entire door width rather than sections.

This refrigerator looks small from the outside but is huge on the inside Believe me you will love this fridge all digital with a ice maker Great purchase

The salesperson at Best Buy said this was the best top freezer refrigerator available and she was right. I bought it along with a Samsung gas range and microwave as well as a Bosch dishwasher. It looks great inside and out and has great features such as being able to use the top compartment as a refrigerator also instead of a freezer. Highly recommend it...

Had to make a search to find a quality fridge that would fit in my cabinet space and still have some more than basic features and appearance. This model has good internal layout, nice led lighting in both fridge and freezer sections and independent temperature controls for both freezer and fridge. The black stainless is a sharp look. Included ice maker at no additional charge was a nice bonus. Geek squad installation was flawless. If you need a smaller unit with more than just basic features give this one a look.

I bought this refrigerator to replace a French door bottom freezer and was glad for the change it better suit my home the space the features are really cool and convenient if you just need more refrigerator space this is the perfect option and the icemaker isn’t loud

Absolutely beautiful!!! I am in love with the finish!!! Black stainless is definitely the way to go! It's shiny enough it is almost like having a Morrison or my refrigerator door!!! The fingerprint resistant finish is an absolute life-saver!!! Was concerned that because my old appliances are white and my new dishwasher on the other rsode of the kitchen is regular fingerprint resistant stainless that it would clash or due to it's dark color look too large and out of place. I will be replacing stove and microwave soon and will definitely be going with black stainless!!! It is truly a shame that they have stopped making this model it is perfect for a smaller kitchen without sacrificing storage on the inside!!!

Perfect fit and allowed my daughter to finally have an ice maker in her area of the house. Good deal for the price.

We were in search for a new refrigerator because our last refrigerator for over 20 years died. While searching, we came upon this refrigerator that we were measuring up with every other ones that we saw. It was just something about this particular refrigerator. We realized that our refrigerator search was over when we saw this Samsung Refrigerator. We especially love the feature of an alarm that would go off if the door was opened for 20 seconds. Excellent fridge, despite being one of the only models available at a reputable retailer when we needed it, this ended up being a great replacement fridge/freezer. Keeps everything very cold, and a very nice looking fridge, too.

Love my refrigerator. It’s quiet and makes the perfect amount of ice. I love the digitally control technology. I have always loved having a light in the freezer and I got it in LED lighting. And Oowee I love the pantry try. Nice little hidden gem.

Quiet running; Quiet Ice maker. More than enough space for 2. Black stainless looks great and finger/hand smudges easily disappear.
