Q: Can it be turned into a vertical monitor with the stand that it comes with?
A: No, you'll need a VESA mount of some kind. I bought two of these a few days ago and just tried. It doesn't rotate, and the stand wouldn't be tall enough for the wide screen to be vertical - it would hit the desk partway through the rotation.

Great Budget 4K Monitor
I paired this with an M2 MacBook Air with great results. My eyes can’t see any pixels and color balance is quite good. Hard to beat for $200
