Customer Ratings & Reviews

Been using this monitor for a few months now and it's pretty great. The OLED screen is really nice - blacks are super deep, colors look good, and 240 Hz is smooth as hell. Works well for gaming and regular work stuff. HDR looks good too. Menu is simple to use, feels solid, and has all the ports I need. Only issue: sometimes the screen goes black for like 2-3 seconds. Everything else works fine though, so I think it's probably my cable or GPU, not the monitor. Overall really happy with it. Picture quality is great and it's super responsive. The black screen thing doesn't happen much and it's probably just my setup. Would definitely buy again.

This is the best monitor to have ever monitored, in the history of monitors, in my opinion. I hadn't invested into OLED gaming yet, because I've been waiting on a panel that checks enough of my boxes, and well, this is the one. $1300 for a gaming monitor is definitely a steep price, but if you enjoy gaming as much as I do, it's entirely worth it, as not only is it the most beautiful monitor I've ever seen, it's also the most performant, going to 240hz. It's simply just the best of both worlds. Zero compromises.

I was apprehensive buying this on release because there were no reviews, but I'm incredibly happy with this monitor. The color is great, text has minimal fringing, build quality is actually wild... gaming is amazing, switching between PC, PS5, Switch is so smooth. The OS is fast and snappy! Speakers get surprisingly loud. Are you worried about brightness? Don't be, this monitor can get plenty bright for an OLED. I'm a brightness junkie and it was one of the biggest concerns I had going in, but it clears in that department. Love the connectivity, being able to use the remote with my PS5 or turn on my Switch through the OS of the monitor, etc.. HDR looks really good. Picture quality is so much better than my previous monitor Optix MPG321UR QD. Don't worry about the matte coat.. it's a new matte technology and it's about as close to glossy as matte has ever looked. It tricks your brain into thinking you're just looking at a glossy screen. The only negative for me is that the OS is a bit convoluted and invasive. Sometimes you just want a quick way to toy with settings, but unfortunately you need to dive deep into the OS and get past tons of ads for game consoles you don't own, or streaming services you don't want, etc., just to find a simple setting. Not taking a mark for it because I'm getting really fast at navigating the maze. I'm like 65% productivity use, and I find that this monitor works well for both work/fun. As of now, I wholly recommend this monitor.

I want to stary off by saying that overall this is an excellent monitor and I highly recommend it, however I can’t say it’s a perfect monitor. Let’s start off with what I really love about this montior, the resolution and refresh rate are superb! Not to mention that the OLED screen has stunning images. Out of the box it comes with a few cables you can use to connect your PC to this monitor, it has an 8k DP cable and an ultra high speed HDMI cable. The base of this monitor is a beautiful piece of hefty aluminum and the monitor arm has a mix of both metal and plastic, but is also has a good design behind it. Mounting the monitor to the arm and base is simple and doesn’t require any tools, just make sure you hear the click and try not to force things. Now for the items I’m indifferent about, this monitor can also act as a smart tv and will require some set up and account linking. The external power brick can take up some space, but with some clever cable management, it isn’t too much of an issue. This monitor has built-in speakers, but they don’t have the greatest sound quality, not bad for built-in speakers though. There’s a remote included for this monitor and its kind of okay, it can smudge easily, but it has a simple layout that’s easy to use. Finally, time for the few negatives I had, the rear connector panel can sink in if you use a little too much force. It doesn’t take much force, so I would definitely be careful on how much force you use when plugging in your cables back there. Last one is very minor, but out of the box, it gets set up as a tv and not a gaming monitor. You’ll have to go into the settings and manually change it into PC/Monitor mode.

Great picture quality. Super fast refresh rates and an awesome Oled screen! 10/10

It has an amazing picture. I paid $1099.99 out the door. I only had one main issue, that being this line that appears when my game is changing screens. Mainly from one load screen to another. It was hard enough spending 1100 on a 32” im really considering taking it back and getting an LG C3 of C4 42” or 48” for $899-1199. I really do love this product but for so much spent idk that i can withstand the lines. This is my first attempt to improve my gaming experience with 4k and 120fps. Although i can have both at the same time is another reason im considering the 42-48” tv that also has 120-144hz capability. Hdmi 2.1 ports. Plus a bigger OLED screen.

That is a serious upgrade! Moving from a standard IPS panel to a 4K QD-OLED like the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) is like seeing color for the first time. It’s hard to go back once you’ve experienced those "infinite" blacks. Here is a polished, professional, yet personal review in English based on your experience: Review: Samsung 32" Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) – A Game Changer I’ve been using the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) since December, and the experience has been nothing short of transformative. Coming from a conventional IPS monitor, the leap in quality is massive. If you are considering your first move into the OLED world, this is a fantastic place to start. Visual Performance & Color Accuracy The first thing you notice is the "perfect" blacks. Unlike IPS panels that often look gray in dark rooms, this monitor delivers intense, deep blacks that make colors pop. Gaming & Movies: It’s simply fabulous. The contrast adds a level of immersion that standard monitors can’t touch. Content Creation: As someone who does photo and video editing, the 32-inch 4K canvas provides the screen real estate I need for complex timelines and interfaces. Reliability: I’ve used it for Lightroom sessions with calibrated color profiles, and the color accuracy is impressively reliable for professional work. Design & Ease of Use Samsung nailed the user experience with this model: Setup: The physical installation was straightforward and "plug-and-play" simple. Interface: The built-in Smart TV-like interface is snappy and easy to navigate. The Remote: It comes with a dedicated remote control, which makes adjusting settings or switching inputs much more convenient than fiddling with buttons behind the screen. Audio: Surprisingly, the integrated speakers are quite decent for daily tasks, which is rare for gaming monitors. The "OLED Magic" One of the biggest surprises was how much it improved lower-fidelity gaming. I connected my Nintendo Switch, and it was incredible—the OLED panel makes everything look vibrant and high-end, regardless of the game's native graphics. Verdict For the price, the G80SD offers a premium experience that justifies the investment. Whether you are editing high-resolution media or just want the best visual experience for your games, this monitor excels in every category. It has completely ruined standard monitors for me! Pros: * Stunning QD-OLED contrast and "true" blacks. Great for professional editing and Lightroom work. Excellent 32-inch 4K workspace. User-friendly remote and interface. Cons: * None so far!

To start with, I will state what hardware I have. Currently using an Xbox Series X and thats it. If you are console gaming, this montior is an excellent choice. If you live in a small living space, say a bedroom, then this is A MUST! The fact it acts as a TV and a gaming monitor with nothing being taken away from the actual gaming experience is incredible. I also have a Samsung smart phone, so connecting to the monitor was super easy and made the monitor easy to set up. If you dont have a samsung device, im gonna be straight up and say dont get this monitor. You will more than likely hate your experience and will wish you went with something else. As for PC gaming, I have no idea how it works, but console gaming is fantastic. I have been replaying games just to see how they look! The 4K is outstanding and the OLED really ties this all together. The external speakers dont work super well but okay in a pinch. I recommend getting an external speaker like a soundbar as the monitor does not have analog inputs for basic desk speakers. I got a Bose external speaker and it works great! Regarding the remote.... if you dont like small remotes dont get this monitor, but otherwise its also amazing. It works as intended and can be charged by solar (using the lights in your room). Ive seen a lot of complaints about this product, but we live in a time where if you have a samsung device, it will more than likely connect to anyother device and make life a lot easier and vice versea for other products (Apple). Overall, my personal experience has been nothing but exceptional.

I bought this item looking for a good PC monitor, primarily for gaming and entertainment. And it it an excellent PC monitor. The very high refresh rate and the HDR 10+ features are better than what a standard PC monitor in the same price range offer. And there is an available PC driver to maximize system compatibility. Then I discovered it is also a smart TV. And a very good smart TV. By combining the features of both products you get a very good deal. But, at it's size you should consider it as a monitor first with smart TV functionality as a bonus. And the built in WiFi means the unit can download it's own updates. And it has more features waiting to be discovered. But it has a learning curve. Time spent reading all the onboard help is well spent.

I’ve been using the Odyssey G80SD mainly for PS5 gaming and overall I’m really happy with its performance. The image is sharp, motion feels very smooth, and the 4K/120Hz support makes games look amazing and responsive. The only downside for me is the brightness, which feels quite low, especially in bright rooms or very colorful games. If you mostly play in a darker room it’s not a big problem, but it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, it’s a great monitor with excellent performance, just wish it got a bit brighter.

This monitor is fantastic. Originally I had purchased an open box but it continued to make this whistling noise and after a quick google search, I discovered it may be the cooling feature that was making the noise. However, since then I returned it and received a new one and so far no issues. It’s almost as if you’re purchasing a tv as it comes with a remote and you’re able to install apps - YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, etc and it has built-in speakers, which sound great. The monitor quickly recognizes the type of device you connect via hdmi and displays the resolution and frame rate and oh boy, every console I’ve played look fantastic. You can definitely see the difference and how enhanced the image look. Although it is expensive, this monitor is definitely an investment worth buying as I am using it daily, all day to work from home, school and leisure with video games and movie/ shows. A lot of people are usually concerned over burn in. However, a new monitor comes with a one year warranty that covers that and you can pay an additional warranty for 4yrs.

[Employee of bestbuy] Coming from an LG 4K Monitor, This Samsung Gaming Oled Monitor is the best ever so far. Comes equipped with a remote and i can tell the difference whenever im gaming, because the colors are ao Rich, Vibrant, Crisp, and Smooth. Whether you're gaming on a console or PC, this is perfect for your everyday needs.

I've played games at 4k before and I wasn't impressed. i was perfectly fine with 1440p...until I got this monitor. The Samsung Odyssey Oled G8 is a game changer when it comes to gaming, but also a great overall monitor as well. First of all, setup is super easy. I've never had a stand that was so easy to assemble. I eventually decided to mount the monitor, but the stand was super easy to handle. Setting up the monitor itself was a little different. If you've ever had a Samsung TV, the experience is pretty much the same. You can use the remote to walk through the process, but it also can be done on your phone. It'll ask for your Samsung account, which, is important because this is more than just a monitor (I'll get to that later). Once it's done you're ready to go, but be warned...there is no source button on the remote. Accessing your devices (like...your computer) is done via the menu. In terms of performance...this monitor is next-level! 4k Oled, 240 Hz refresh rate...great numbers, great blacks...but using it, it just looks DIFFERENT. The colors! I've had OLED TVs, I've had OLED monitors, I've never seen the colors look like this. I'm assuming the processor, combined with the AI and the tuning... makes everything look better. I know some feel that matte displays don't look as good as glossy Oled displays...I've had glossy displays before...none of them looked like this! Now, to fully capitalize on the 4k 240 hz it's gonna take a beefy rig and for most games, you probably won't hit those numbers...but it's so smooth! I know some will complain that this monitor feels more like a TV than a monitor with its focus on the TIzen interface and speakers...but if I complain about anything it's how bad this thing makes my TV look. The smoothness of motion and colors in the content I stream on this device puts my OLED TV to shame. Now obviously this is Samsung's latest processor (NQ8) backed by AI and I'm sure their next-generation of TVs will have similar performance, but as of right now, this is the best thing to watch content on in my house, and while 32" may not be what I'm used to for televisions, it's huge for a monitor, and it works well as a television when I'm sitting at my desk. The speakers on the monitor are solid as well. I know other brands use Samsung's panels so there are a few new monitors with Samsung's 4k 240 hz OLED panel, but I think the inclusion of the processor Samsung chose, its usage of AI, and the overall Tizen interface, this monitor is a no-brainer for me. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for with this monitor.

Purchased this monitor as a gaming / work hybrid monitor. I love the OLED panel and everything looks crisp from working to gaming. The interface is like the Samsung TV I have so that was a pleasant surprise as it makes the monitor seem like a TV in a way. Of note: if your monitor and Tv are by one another, I have had instances of my remote working on both devices, for example, if my monitor was off and my tv too, if I used my tv remote to turn on my tv, my monitor would pick that up as well and turn on. I resolved that by using theSmartThings app where I can control each from my phone. There is RGB on the back that you can customize and the profile of the monitor is super thin. It also has a rubber cable clip for cable management. For gaming it’s been great! I can play 4k easily over 140hz (closer to if not over 200hz depending on settings and frame generation). I use this along side a gaming PC with a 5080 GPU. I got this monitor at an awesome deal (IMO) and I am definitely happy that I did. Attached photos from the Black ops 7 Beta which I played on PS5 Pro at the time (120hz-4k).

Went from the 28 inch g7 to this 32 inch g8 oled and man what a difference i play the ps5 pro on it and what a difference the clarity and color it has no issues at all been gaming for over a month on it now and no regrets at all super clear picture

This monitor has great value picked up on sale especially for an oled. If you're on the Samsung Ecosystem it should tie-in rather seamlessly. The on board tv operation system takes some getting used to and has a considerable of a bit of software bloat. However past that, it works well. Side benefit is the onboard streaming apps are well optimized to take advantage of the monitor. For gaming pc / hookup you'll need to play with the settings make sure to fix the monitor native hz rate to be set higher. Typically the monitor will autoplay to what ever your device is outputing especially windows. The HDR support is great however calibration of the monitor takes a lot of fiddling arond with as it based on a variety of factors such as the content you are playing, your viewing enviornment, lighting, etc. This monitor has decent viewing angles and very good color representation, the light matte finish is well done. Phyical setup is simple and stright forward, make sure to register your monitor for the warrenty. Attached photos are played HDR 4k resolution demo video. Photos were shot in a well lit room on a s24u. The matte finish is really good at reducing the glares. Note the color accuracy will be off because of the phone camera along with photos being unedited. The saturation and colors in-person are much more dark, vibrant and accurate. Highly recommend to take a look at a display model in store and pick one up on sale, especially for an oled.

By far the best monitor I've used. There is little glare in bright rooms, and the refresh rate is so smooth. It is a little pricey, but probably because the technology is a little newer. The only complaint is the speaker sound quality for the price point, but I know monitors don't usually have great speakers (when they have speakers). It would just be nice to have decent speakers to use with the built in smart-TV apps.

To make it simple which monitor is best for you! either that alienware 4k 240h glossy display or this samsung 4k 240h matt display! one is more value for your money and one is pure money for quality both qualities are great you won’t be upset especially if you are coming from any downgrade monitor. I came from a Dell 1440p 165h IPS display. you get my point! so if you were to choose… here some last good thoughts samsung smart hub with game features from nvidia app that lets you play games without the console by subscribing to virtual PCs. the monitor also has build in speakers and an two HDMI ports with one having an ARC port which allows integrate any sound system with an hdmi connector the main audio source. last but not least you can also tilt the monitor 360 degrees overal value for your money the alienware does not have any of those features but you get what you paying for if you want quality and that’s all because of a glossy display. everything else is the same on the inside. the display in general will make the colors shine and bright more also the monitor has a higher nit brightness setting so once again quality will look better for sure.

As an avid gamer the monitor and itself are great but rhere are still plenty of drawbacks with this monitor. Accessing the settings are pain. I mean a real pain. To get to graphic settings you actually have to view them in 3 different areas to get them how you want them. The gaming settings work well but not superior to other brands ive had. If you get this because it has speakers, dont. They are terrible and will make you wish you hadnt. Look elsewhere or buy external. But picture quality, and smoothness and deep blacks in the panel are like nothing else.

I thought this was just a monitor, completely unaware that it had a built-in system until I turned it on for the first time. All I wanted was a monitor to pair with my PC; for me personally, this system and built-in speakers are of no use. I don't know why it's still called G8, even though there are such significant differences from the previous generation. The monitor gives me a feeling of a slight bulge in the middle as if it's a reverse curved screen, which is very strange. I am very sure that I was extremely careful while installing it and there were no bumps. Please leave a commit if you have the same feeling. And as for the monitor itself, it’s OK. My ideal high-end HDR monitor should be able to achieve a global brightness of 300-400 nits, beyond which it starts to become glaring, but this monitor is only about 200 nits. After testing, the DP interface now permanently enables DSC, even if you set it to 60Hz. And when I use the HDMI port, only 60Hz is available, even though the same HDMI cable can run 4K 120Hz without enabling DSC on another monitor, further testing is required.
