If you're looking for an economical washing machine, this is the one for you. It's your standard white appliance with not too many frills. There is no agitator which should help prevent clothing material wear. It is somewhat loud when it fills with water and runs through it's cycles. Not horrible but depending on location, you may need to time when you do laundry to avoid unnecessary background noise. This unit signals the end of operation with an annoying tune (music) that seems to last excessively long. Again, not a bad washer for the money. Will update review in 6 months.

I love this washer. Yes I left my front load for the top load. The drum is enormous you can wash blankets and comforters . Plays music when it’s all done.

This is a great washer. I loved the size of it and the fact it plays music at completion. Only concern is it looks like the inside has detached.. not sure this is normal.

I'm trying to assume most clothes are getting clean, but it's hard after washing my white jacket that had some minor dirt on the front from rubbing up against my car (I washed it frequently in my Maytag with this exact type dirt) and after TWO washings in this new Samsung- STILL showed the dirt on the front of the jacket. With my 20-year-old Maytag- it was brilliantly white after one washing. Gotta say- I'm pretty disappointed. After 20 years, my Maytag's transmission failed. I'm now wishing I had just replaced the transmission. They sure don't make them like they used to.

I was very impressed with this machine. I wished I owned it sooner. The spin cycle is everything, less time for drying.

Have unit 2 1/2 years - suddenly left corner of top lid splintered and just disintegrated. Now doesn't close properly. Appears made of cheap, poorly made plastic. Paid $500 for this; expect it to last longer than 2 years! Now have to pay costly repairs or purchase new machine - Not Samsung this time! Very Disappointed and Sad!!

Less than 5 months after installation at home, the labels on the top of the machine and inside near the soap box is smearing off. This is not acceptable. Very poor quality.
I’ve owned several washers in my lifetime. I never felt the need to review one because it’s that great—until now. I’ve had two front load HE machines I liked, and one top load HE machine with an agitator that destroyed everything it touched and died after two years. I finally decided I wanted a “normal” washer. I read a lot of reviews, then decided on this Samsung. I own several Samsung appliances, and I’ve been happy with them all. This machine is SIMPLE. No complicated control panel. You can choose how much water you want to use. It uses HE detergent, so no figuring out how to convert amounts for a regular machine (and it doesn’t need a lot to do a great job...bonus!). It has the cycles you need, no extra fancy cycles. It’s quiet. I usually can’t even hear the spin cycle! It has a pretty deep drum (if you’re petite, invest in a step stool), which helps when you have a big family. No agitator to tear up your laundry. And it gets clothes CLEAN. They smell fresh too, and we don’t even use scented laundry products. This is the least expensive washer I’ve ever owned, but by far it’s the best I’ve ever owned. Just buy it. You’ll be glad you did.

We recently purchased this item to replace a 9 year old GE High Efficiency washing machine that was soon going to be a liability. So far, the Samsung has been as good as gold. It can handle BIG loads and is amazingly quiet for an HE machine. It is easy to operate with simple buttons. We got it on sale so the price was right. Most importantly, it gets the clothes cleaner and they even smell fresher than before. Unfortunately the recent Consumer Reports article on appliances graded Samsung poorly so we're hoping for a trouble free life for this washer.

I would give this 4.5 stars if that was an in-between option. It has all your basic cycles, washes clothes well, and it's pretty quiet (until the end when it sings you a long song of its people). It has a nice large capacity for big loads of bedding and towels. The only thing I don't like is the water level controls- I've read the manual and I still don't really understand what it's doing. The clothes are coming out clean though, so I guess it doesn't matter whether I get it or not. The Best Buy delivery guys set everything up, I was very pleased with their service and timeliness.

I love it!! it is easy too use and very quiet I cant hear it at all up stars. Cleans the clothes and takes out all the stains and smells no problem. One of the best purches I bought in a long time and it can fir so much stuff in it.

This top loader washer has great capacity and is agitatorless so it holds larger items such as blankets and comforters fairly easily. The interface is very simple and allows for user customization if you choose (such as water level), or you can let the washer do its thing with one of the preset options. Washer is quiet and even on spin mode stays quiet and barely vibrates. Clothes have been coming out very nice and clean so far. Washer also has a self clean mode which is handy and actually works (I throw some bleach in there before I do the self clean). Highly recommended

So far, so good. It's got tons of space without the agitator and it's quiet. Even though the lid locks during a cycle, you're able to pause it to add more stuff or double check you didn't forget the soap. It washes and spins just fine. I haven't had any of the issues other people have described such as not spinning the water out completely or shutting off in the middle of cycles, though it does seem to take for-ev-er to go thru a normal wash cycle. I usually just put it on the quick wash setting and haven't noticed a difference in the cleanliness of my clothes. The reasons I couldn't give it 5 stars are purely personal. I'm annoyed by all the dings and beeps and the fact that you can't just directly make your wash selections; you have to push thru each selection until you get to the one you want.
