A: I recently purchased the Samsung 4.5--I previously had a Maytag 5.0-5.2. The biggest difference I noticed is the height of the drum - meaning I needed a small step stool with the Maytag to get my laundry out. ( I am 5'2") With my new machine the 4.5, I can reach the laundry . The larger machine is good if you have alot of king size bedding and want to put them all in the tub at once. In the 4.5 I can put my king comforter, sheets and pillow cases in one load. I do think having the bigger dryer is a plus though.
A: Great question! You can use the "Start/Pause" button to pause the cycle at any time, and restart it whenever you're ready. The washer will not automatically drain until it reaches a spin and drain part of the cycle. ^Jecca
A: Thanks so much for asking! Because the washer door opens upward, it needs to be able to open all the way and actually lean backwards in order to remain open. We do also have many front load models with a door on the front. The front load model doors will stay open as they swing from side to side. ^Jecca
