A: Yes, the vented model needs a traditional vent that directs the hot air outside. This helps the drying speed on this unit be faster than the drying speed on the ventless. This also runs on 220 volt plug versus the ventless version on 110 volt. We are very happy with the performance after a couple months.

I look forward to doing the laundry!
The Samsung all-in-one is so easy and convenient to use, I actually look forward to doing the laundry now. No more soggy smelly clothes because they weren’t dried right away. The all-in-one takes care of it for me. It fit perfectly in the same space I had for my stackable washer and dryer previously. The drum capacity actually seems much larger than my previous unit, also a Samsung. I noticed right away that although I was using the same detergent and fabric softener, my clothes felt and smelled better. Towels are fluffier, and my whites look brighter. Putting a load of laundry in at bedtime is my standard now… and I wake up to clean, dry clothes. The automatic detergent and softener injection saves me tons of mess, too. It adds exactly the right amounts for the weight of the clothes instead of me guessing how much I should add. Oh… and the lint filter practically cleans itself! Instead of me having to pick the lint out of a screen, the lint easily slides out with a single pull. Great capacity, quiet operation and clean, dry clothes. A real winner in my book! BTW the Samsung app was able to connect directly to my local utility information so I know how much energy was used with each wash and how much it cost in electricity use. Sweet!

Can you Add a folding and Hanging Feature
Great machine. We purchased after our GE Profile, owned only 11 months, couldn't be fixed. Wish we had purchased this one originally. Looks like the problem was the ventless issue on the GE, so we went with the vented model this time. If you have a small laundry area as we do, you will have an issue with any ventless machine. Stay away from ventless. The Samsung is super quiet, sends you notices on your TV screen to let you know laundry is done. Cleaning the filter is way easier compared to the GE. This is a great washer dryer combo and I'm hoping will last more than 1 year. Definitely get at least a 2 year warranty when buying. When the laundry is done, the door will open itself. Took 2 loads to figure that out. I thought my husband had opened it, and then it happened again. I asked him and he said he had not. So unless it was the dog or a ghost, it opens itself. Great feature because it eliminates musty smell. Another fun feature, it connects to your Samsung account, if you have one. I haven't explored enough yet, but I'm sure it does other fun things as well. I do not see an accumulation of pet or human hair on rubber seal which is amazing, since we did experience that with the GE. It dries better than the GE, but could use improvement. It could be I haven't learned yet how to set the drying part properly. Overall I recommend this combo W/D and also the stand for under the unit. It has storage space, which is great for small spaces, and helps from having to bend too low to remove clothes. Saves your back, especially if you are older.

All in one washer/dryer
I absolutely love this all-in-one washer/dryer. It has been a total game-changer and saves me so much time. I don’t have to worry about switching clothes between machines — everything happens in the same place, which makes laundry so much easier. The smart features are amazing. I can control everything from the app: start or pause the cycle, see how much time is left, and get notifications. I highly recommend getting the ventless version — the team at the store told me it dries faster, and it’s true. It’s very efficient. It even has the option to play Spotify and YouTube, which at first made me wonder why, but honestly I love it — it’s a fun extra feature while I’m doing chores. For the price, it’s an incredible upgrade. Fast-wash cycles, great drying power, and zero hassle. I definitely recommend it!
