I've had the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha for over a year now, and it continues to impress me. The 13.3" touch-screen display is stunning, offering vibrant colors and sharp details. With the Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of memory, it handles multitasking and demanding tasks with ease. The 512GB SSD ensures speedy load times and ample storage. One standout feature is the 2-in-1 design, which allows me to switch between laptop and tablet mode effortlessly. The battery life is decent, lasting a full workday with moderate usage. However, it's not the lightest laptop out there, so it may not be the best option for frequent travelers. Still, the build quality feels robust. The laptop's keyboard is comfortable for extended typing sessions, and the touchpad is responsive. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha is a solid choice for users who need a versatile and powerful laptop. It's been a reliable companion in my daily tasks, and I'm still loving it after a year of use.

Purchased this on sale open box "excellent" and very happy. Beautiful laptop. It's very light and sleek. Chassis is solid metal, but attracts fingerprints like a magnet. Very thin. Display is crisp and bright with rich colors, and overall it's fast. I like the fingerprint scanner, it's very fast and accurate and makes login in secure and snappy. The backlit keyboard is very nice and comfortable to type in. Track pad is solid. I have Samsung devices that integrate well with this, with Samsung Dex and galaxy buds. You can technically use this as an LTE laptop if you have a Samsung Dex capable smartphone, which is extremely convenient on the go. If you use it for heavy tasks, the fans kick in but they are not loud. I keep it in quiet mode for most of my work can't hear them. My only gripe is the charger which is proprietary. Would have loved USB C. But I like that is a small charger. My one warning if you buy this online because nobody ever mentions this: If you purchase any electronic device and there is significant temperature fluctuation between the outside environment and the interior of the home, don't turn on the device until about 24 hours. Otherwise it can get moisture and condensation on the interior electronic parts.

For people who want to know about this laptop unit; This laptop is the 2nd in line with the Flex Alpha Series which is the lower-cost alternative to the Samsung Ultrabooks. This unit is being released next to the New Flex and Pro series releases. The Flex 2 Alpha is designed to be the entry-level release for this year and although considered entry-level Samsung did not sacrifice power. The difference between this unit and the mainline (Flex and Pro Series) is that this year the mainline was main to be Intel Evo Platform Compliant (Evo Explanation Below; Read Evo Certification below then continue reading here). To clarify the Flex 2 Alpha is not Evo Certified but Samsung has made it a point to use the i5-1135G7/i7-1165G7 and the new Intel Iris Xe Graphics in the Alpha which is the same processor and graphics used in the mainline; which makes the Flex 2 Alpha just as powerful as the mainline i7 models and i5 models. The reason why the Flex 2 Alpha is not Evo Compliant is that Samsung did not include a Thunderbolt 4 port and instead used a USB Type C 3.1 Gen 2 port, and the NVME port is 3.0. Other than these 2 differences, the Flex 2 Alpha does meet Evo Compliant standards in all other qualifications. These changes were likely done to allow this unit to be sold at a lower price point. So what does this mean for you? Most people will not notice in any way the difference between Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2. Both will allow you to use external screens and use your USB Type C devices. Most Thunderbolt 3 devices will also work with USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2. The most notable Limitation is that since it's not Thunderbolt the Flex 2 Alpha will NOT be able to use an eGPU. If you have a Thunderbolt docking station you would like to use check the manual and see if it has a compatibility mode for USB Type-C. As for the NVME drive being 3.0 unless you specifically need NVME 4.0 (which on a consumer-level nobody but hardcore media creators will see a benefit), nobody will notice a difference in speed. As it is Ultrabooks like this are for productivity and entry-level media creation and NVME 4.0 is not a required feature (Reference Side Note 1 and 2 Below). In terms of the S-Pen; The Flex 2 Alpha does not come with an S-Pen like the Mainline Flex and Pro 360 does. But this unit is digitizer capable which means you can get a battery-powered S-Pen or Wacom pen and use it with the unit. Disclaimer: Please read the next paragraph to learn about the screen. The Flex 2 Alphas Screen is QLED while the mainline series is AMOLED. QLED is slightly more fragile than AMOLED; this means that even though the Flex 2 Alpha is digitizer ready you do run a slightly higher risk of damaging it by using an S-Pen on it. Don't get me wrong, the QLED screen is still pretty strong; I've been poking it with my fingers and not nicely I might add. My bottom line is that QLED screens would be for more casual S-Pen and Stylus interaction while the mainline AMOLED screens would be a better fit for daily PEN use. In my opinion, QLED looks much better (but this will be up to you to decide) as I personally find that AMOLED throws off my depth perception while QLED does not while also looking more vibrant to my eyes. Again this will be up to you, I am not a medical professional and cannot say if QLED would be better for your vision like mine. As for performance, the Flex 2 Alpha will perform the same as its i5 and i7 counterparts in the mainline in both processing and graphical power. Don't worry they are the same processors and integrated graphics. RAM amount will verify. Building on power for those who have an older Ultrabook looking to upgrade or just curious about what has happened in the last year. I will say Intel has outdone themselves on the Intel Iris Xe Graphics complained to last generations UHD Integrated Graphics. When Intel said that Intel Iris Xe Graphics will be x4 power they really meant it. Compared to my last year's UHD graphics model which was very limited and could barely play games the new model with Intel Iris Xe Graphics went leaps ahead of its time. I stress-tested it with a few games, rendered a video, and even photoshopped some pictures for this review. They are not special in any way because I photoshopped them quickly but man was the Flex 2 Alpha able to keep up. A+ work Intel! See below for my game test results. Please keep in mind this is not a gaming laptop and this is just an example that it can play games. Game Test (Playable Framerate of 49 FPS and Above): Murdered Soul Suspect: 1080p Ultra Settings. DmC Devil May Cry: 1080p Ultra Settings. Warframe: 1080p Low to Medium Settings. Code Vein: 900p Medium Settings. The Technomancer: 1080p Low Settings//900p Medium Settings. Resident Evil Biohazard: 720p Low Settings. Amazon LUNA: Full 1080p at Luna Settings (lol cloud games worked awesome on this over wifi) Fan noise is the normal amount for an ultrabook it's a low hum that you will hear. No way around it. Embrace the fan sound. If you want a second charger please don't go aftermarket go to the SamsungParts website and it's model number [BA44-00295A]. Final Thoughts: For my uses the Flex 2 Alpha is perfect. I also love the body style; I love a nice rectangular laptop that when I put it in tablet mode it feels like a solid tablet. Give me a brick style any day. The mainline laptops have too many curves for me and leave a gap between the back and front when in tablet mode. This is just my personal preference so who knows you might like the curves for gripping or style aesthetics. Also since the mainline and the Alpha line use the same processors I still get the premium speed and the body style I like in a laptop. If you are an artist or in school and need to take notes I would say go for the Pro 360 or the Mainline Flex that Samsung released. Samsung really did outdo themselves in every way this year with their laptop releases. Never been more impressed. - Evo Certification: The product was made using an exact Intel-provided base unit to ensure the laptop meets thunderbolt 4.0, NVME 4.0 (SSD), processor speed, graphic, and battery life expectations. This basically means all Evo products no matter which brand you buy from should perform similarly if not the same as their sister counterpart. Example: A Samsung Evo platform Laptop with an Intel Core i7-1165G7 using Intel Iris Xe Graphics should perform the same as other Evo products using the same hardware. Both LG and MSI make Evo platform ultrabooks with the same configuration and by Intel Evo Platform standards all 3 devices have to perform nearly the same in terms of power, battery life and have Thunderbolt/NVME 4.0 capabilities. The difference in these units is that the manufacturer is allowed to change the Body Style and features as long as the Evo Platform standards are kept. So one brand can make a 2 in 1 style version while another brand makes a traditional laptop or detachable. But bottom line if you see Evo Certified that means it's an Intel design running on intel processors and graphics. - Side Note 1: An Evo Certified Product should always have at least one Thunderbolt 4 Port. - Side Note 2: Although the standard for your NVME SSD port on the motherboard will be NVME 4.0 when Evo Certified the manufacture who makes the laptop can still put an NVME 3.0 SSD into the port. For NVME 4.0 speeds you may need to put your own NVME 4.0 Chip into your laptop unit depending on if the manufacture decides not to include one. - SIde Note 3: This laptop cannot charge itself via USB and can only charge with the included DC Adapter. This laptop can charge other devices via USB though. - Side Note 4: The Flex Alpha Series only comes in 13.3-inch models for a 15 inch you will need to move up into the mainline Flex release from Samsung. I've had this laptop for a little over a month and so far I have no complaints. I really like the included Samsung apps. A couple of my favorites being Battery Life Extender+, which charges your battery only to 85% if you keep it plugged in most of the time as I do. I also like the PC Cleaner. The battery lasts long enough for what I need when I take it off charger. It's fast for what I need. I run a Linux distro within VirtualBox and have not had any issues. Amazon Alexa is installed but I have not used it as I have plenty of Echos around. Best Buy had the Wacom Bamboo pen on sale so I picked it up. I've only done a simple test and it worked without issue. I'm a Windows Insider and just got the Windows 11 update and it's running smoothly. If you're in the Samsung ecosystem I'm sure it works flawlessly with your other devices making this a no-brainer if you need a Windows device. I use the Windows Your Phone app to access my Android device which works well and they are continually improving. In my opinion this is a great laptop for the money and am very happy with my purchase.

I have always had a Macbook Pro and I love Apple products but my retina screen cracked and didnt want to spend a lot on another laptop. I took a risk to buy this Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha and absolutely love this laptop. It is extremely light weight, the screen is super clear and vivid, and the performance is awesome! It handles all commands flawlessly and it is extremely quiet. The finger print login is very convenient.

I came in looking for a new laptop for college since I had an older one and never really invested in a great quality laptop. I was looking for a good graphics, easy for travel, lots of storage, touchscreen, and a great processor. I did some looking around for a couple of days and when I thought I made up my mind about my laptop, I was helped by an associate who was very knowledgeable not on just brand but the actual breakdown of a computer. He took me to the computer I had already ran my research for and when he noticed all the specifications, he took me to one where it was the exact same thing but a hundreds of dollars more affordable. I did lots of research before finalizing my purchase and went with his recommendation, a Samsung Notebook. It was literally worth every buck! Love the QLED touch-screen and how slim the laptop is. For those looking for computers or aren’t too familiar with what to really look for ask an associate and don’t let them feel you in for their preferred brands. Every laptop is indeed different but when you look at what’s under the brand cover, it can save you some money and still provide your standard if not greater needs. This laptop is amazing and i’d highly recommend it!! Beautiful QLED Display and sound, Lots of internal storage, it has a fingerprint key lock-screen, and Intel i7. If you know computers, you know the powerful the processor, the faster your computer works and thinks. The laptop’s simply great. It is super lightweight which is initially what attracted me to the product. I use it for engineering school, I was able to download programs like solidworks and coding programs like C++. After two years of use, all features work perfectly fine. It hardly ever crashes. I have even used it for presentations during conferences and the experience was very smooth. I would say the only negative experience I’m facing now is that the battery doesn’t last as long as it used to, but it does still charge pretty quick. Would totally recommend this to anyone going into engineering school.

This is such a solid little machine! I purchased it for my wife who works from home and runs a lot of local apps as well as a remote desktop. She can mutlitask wihouth the system slowing down or freezing at all. The battery can last an entire workday without sacrificing performance. Considering it's portable size you can really get things done while traveling or steam movies on it's very vibrant screen. Overall we're very pleased with the Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha!

This was an exceptional notebook. I loved how quick it was to navigate everything. I usually enjoy Samsung products and this was one I enjoyed. I liked how it could be flipped and turned into a tablet. And the size was just right. I had to get a usb-c adapter for hdmi to my tv but I appreciated the headphone jack. The only thing I could say was the battery life wasn’t too great. Functionality was 100% and using windows 11 on this was cool. I liked the keyboard cover options available online also. It was my first experience with a Samsung laptop and I wasn’t sure of what I was getting ,but so far I love it’s performance and the battery life is what mattered to me and I don’t regret buying it. It is also portable . You will only need a case or cover to protect from slipping as it is too smooth.

UNBOXING & SETUP: - Samsung really simplified the unboxing setup to this and I'm good with it! Not much to it besides the laptop and the charger/ - First impressions are that this laptop is really small, slim, and light. Even for a 13 inch laptop, they really utilized having small bezels and fitting everything into a nice size package. - The color and design are really modern too, just feels like an upscale laptop and nothing that is too cheaply made. - Upon turning it on, Windows and Samsung made setup feel quite easy. Just go through the steps, let the laptop do its job, and sure enough you are ready to start using it! PROS: - The obvious pro to me is the screen. The Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha has a QLED screen (which is Samsung's version of OLED, even though Samsung makes straight up OLED laptops), and the QLED screen is fantastic! It really makes the screen pop with color whether you are working, web browsing, or streaming something. Screens can really make or break a laptop and this one hits! - The keyboard is also really great on this Flex2 Alpha. It makes typing on it really easy and flow nicely while not having the keys me too clunky or not have enough feedback at all. Plus it has a fingerprint scanner built into the keyboard which is a great option for security purposes. - The 2-1 Design also flows really well. It switches from laptop to tablet with ease and since its small and light you never feel like you are holding an oversized laptop. Its comfortable and adds a lot of functionality to the laptop. - The specs on this laptop have the latest 11th gen intel chip, 16 gb of memory, and 512 gb of storage and that all really shows in its performance. It is quick and snappy while loading multiple applications and never seems to have slow moments. Plus on top of that more laptops seem to go away from having high storage so its nice to see a laptop having 512 gb for that extra comfort. - I do also like Samsung's software within the laptop. It works well with Dex and Samsung products in general, sometimes I feel that Windows computers with other company software on it feels too clunky but this combination fits just right. CONS: - Its minor but I think Samsung really should have let this charge via USB-C instead of it's standard clunky charging port. USB-C just offers so much more functionality and its the same thing that almost all of Samsung's products charge with anyways. - Although I love the screen, I do wish it had a 3:2 aspect ratio instead of the 16:9 widescreen. - Lastly, the additional ports are much welcomed but at the same time removing some of them would help make the laptop slimmer all in all. BOTTOM LINE: - Samsung made a "budget" version of its higher end Galaxy Book lineup but there is nothing that feels "budget" on this laptop. It has fantastic specs, a QLED screen that will really surprise you, plenty of ports for extra functionality, and a touchscreen 360 degree screen that really makes this thing versatile. Its slim portable size along with a really solid battery life will make this laptop your daily companion very quickly!

Love this lqptop. Battery life is awesome amazing display and i am all about the easy connect to my phone and tablet. I use it for some video editing but mostly school work. Its way light and easy to carry around. Only wish is that it had the usb charger.

Great Laptop! Got this laptop recently and I love it a lot. It has a great 2 in 1 form factor and is relatively thin (about half the size of a quarter when closed). The screen is good, and if you already have Samsung products, it works great w/ those. Some cons I found include: - No Type-C charging port - Keyboard backlight doesn't stay on - Camera isn't the best looking (about 720p) - Doesn't come with an S-Pen (you can buy a stylus online, however) - 60 Hz (this isn't much of a big deal) Overall, I would recommend this laptop. It's good for Work, School, etc. It can also handle some CPU intense programs thanks to the high specs. Not really sure about gaming since it does have an integrated GPU, but it might be able to manage. Considering this laptop goes on sale quite often it is a great deal, and it functions pretty well as a tablet.

This laptop has all the i need.. Touch screen and finger print for loging in.. it made my life and work easier.. the oled screen is also good for view videos and reallt have best quality.. I will really recommend this laptop..

Everything about this computer is excellent. Beautiful screen resolution, colors, key pad is sturdy and perfect, construction is awesome. Samsung made it so easy to do the initial setup including setting up windows 11. It was a breeze. Computer works like a dream come true. Track pad is perfectly responsive. Paid $649 on sale. Can't beat the deal for this awesome laptop.

I love bright screens on laptops, actually I’m a total sucker for them. When I saw that Samsung was really focusing on the 13.3 inch QLED screen on this Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha, I just had to give it a try. I think everyone will notice just how small and light this laptop is when they first remove it from the box. The laptop weighs about 2.5lbs, so it’s super lightweight, even with it’s impressive 13.3 inch screen that barely has any borders. The screen even makes a boring Windows 10 screen look amazing, it’s just that pretty to look at. Oh, did I mention this thing is pretty fast too? Samsung somehow was able to cram an 11th gen Core i7 in this little guy with 16gb of memory and a 512gb SSD. I’m not sure how, but they did it and it doesn’t even run hot. Okay, let’s talk about this screen. It’s bright, very very bright. It’s not bright enough to hurt your eyes as it’ll adjust automatically to your environment, but bright enough to always show off just how rich and deep the colors are on the screen. I own a few OLED TVs and other QLED displays and this screen holds up to any other screen I’ve used on a portable device. This screen is absolutely beautiful, no hyperbole. Oh hey, the screen rotates completely around so you can use it as a tablet too. That’s really a bonus to this already impressive laptop package, but it’s there for when you want to watch a movie or browse the web on your lap. All the other features of this laptop are pretty standard fare. You’ll get bluetooth 5.1, really nice speakers, WiFi 6 and a battery life that will last you all day. The only downside to this laptop that I can think of is the power adapter. I absolutely wish it was a USB C plug or something more standard then a little old school DC plug in. Overall, this is a very solid laptop that can serve as a decent tablet for short periods of time. Tablet use would be limited as it’s just a bit heavy to use as a tablet for a long period of time, but it’s a nice feature to have. Aside from the power plug, this laptop is an amazing value, with a fantastic screen and great battery life to boot. I really like this Flex2 Alpha and I think you will too!

Great design, slim and full metal premium quality with reasonable price! No Usb type C charging but easy to use a usb-c to DC adapter to solve this. Worth buy!
