Bought the same phone on amazon for what I thought was a real deal only to discover they'd scammed me with a contract phone. Bestbuy not only had the same phone for a decent price they had one set up for my carrier. When purchasing these older samsung phones pay attention to what network they're set up on Verizon is not compatible with ATT and vice versa and if possible always buy a phone set up for your carrier over a shinier newer phone that may or may not work for you.

My wife & I ordered, purchased & received (2)two of these make/model phones from BestBuy because our previous phones (also Samsung J3 Emerges ) weren't compatible with our new carriers sim cards. Having had the same make/model phone made navigating the new ones easy. The snag? My wife's phone, for some inexplicable reason(s), when she plays either one of two Google Play downloaded games that she also had & played on her previous J3, the new J3 will constantly shut down & re-start while in the middle of play. We both also have & had the same two games on both the new & old J3's, but it's only her new J3 that that this is occurring. Overall it's a very good phone& easy to use, but this problem is frustrating the heck out of her.

So far, the phone has worked well. I like the fact that when I am home, I can switch to WiFi, and any data I download is not on my data usage. I had not known this. The manual is easy to understand and follow.

I bought this for my 72year old mom to jump from prepaid flip style and the simplicity and affordability made it a fairly easy transition

It works Great!! And it does everything I need!!! The calculator is essential and works really well when I go grocery shopping. I use the notes app to store essential purchase info, like our favorite pizza toppings, the actual dimensions of our king-size bed, and the date of arrival of online purchases...

good phone for beginners, basic features. dive in get your feet wet and then upgrade

Just bought a Samsung 40 inch from Best Buy.Super TV. I wanted a phone for a very close friend. I did a search on the Best Buy site, found a few very attractive phones and, based on my satisfaction with my Samsung TV, I chose a Samsung cell phone and my friend loves it. And that makes me feel real good. Thanks Best Buy. Outstanding Phone!!!!

I like the Samsung Galaxy J3. Easy to use and great features.

As a first smart phone, I am very happy with it. For me, it's primarily a phone and not so much a device for the internet; so it's great fit for me.

It would be nice to have a regular ring tone. It's a little bit of a lightweight for a guy so I bought a heavy case. Switching from a flip to this will take some time to get used to it.
