I love watching movies and this tablet allows me to store allot of movies on a 512 GB Mini SD card. I can carry it around the house paired to my Bose noise canceling headphones, I can cook or tinker with something while not bothering anyone else. I have a high quality case with built in stand, and a temper glass screen protector. The Open box price was a gift from above! Making this very affordable. Adding at least a full year of protection was a "No-Brainer". I gave my 2016 Tab a 10.1 to my wife in a new case with a 256 GB SD mini, she loves it! So she was not at all upset with me for buying this one. Down time on a lay-over between flights is easier with this. The blue tooth and WiFi work great. I do think some of the games and video streaming apps need to be updated to the newer standard of the newer operating systems. Especially the Vudu and Amazon Prime video Apps.

When updates 2 applications from different companies alot of the times developers always changes the application software so they don't work for the Samsung Galaxy Tablet can't be updated to the new version. I would like the developers take in consideration when making these updates consider how much they mess it up for tablets and phones!

I purchased this tablet to replace a kindle Fire HD 10 and caught a sale for $279 for the 128GB/3GB Ram model. In addition, it comes with a free keyboard case. However, I have not received the case yet as it is on backorder (Ships on Aug 28). I considered the Tab 5e but with the sale price and the free keyboard case, I went with the Tab A. Overall, I'm very happy with the tablet. The screen is vibrant and apps load quickly. I was able to use a USB-C hub to connect ethernet and a mouse and keyboard and it works quite well in that mode so I'm looking forward to the keyboard case. WIFI and Bluetooth work great. Netflix, Disney+, Xfinity Stream, and YouTube all run great. With all the storage (128GB), plus the fact you can add an SD card for additional space, allows you to save content locally (Netflix, Disney+) to watch later when you don't have access to WIFI. Tablet is thin and light and the sound is surprisingly good. I use IHeart radio frequently during my work day. The tablet ships with Android 9 but I've read it is scheduled to get the upgrade to Android 10. It does have a headphone jack which I do use often and sound is great. Battery life is good. I don't have specific numbers but a full charge generally gets me through the day with moderate to heavy use. I really don't use the cameras on my tablets so I really can't rate them. I did fire up a Google Duo session with a family member and things looked and sounded fine. Now for the negatives: The speakers are on the bottom so they are both on the same side when you put the tablet in landscape mode to watch videos. Even with this disadvantage, they are still much louder than the speakers on the Kindle Fire HD. Missing sensor. Most tablets have a sensor when you close or open a case, the tablet will turn off or on. Unfortunately, this is missing on this tablet. So, before you close your case, you should turn it off. However, you can set the table to turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity. In addition, you can double tap the screen to wake it up. There is no fingerprint scanner or facial recognition so you'll need to set up a password, pattern, or pin to unlock the device or use smart device. Charging is slow with the charger that is supplied with the tablet but if you have a better charging brick, you can speed things up a bit. For the price, this tablet is a great purchase. I would recommend this to a friend or family member.

This is the 3rd Samsung Tablet for me. I upgraded my 2014 Tablet, and I also have a Tab A 7 inch. I love Samsung products. We have a Samsung TV, and a couple Samsung phones. The Tablet is easy to use, light enough to hold in your hand for an extend period, and the battery last quite a long time. The storage is plenty for all my needs, and the processor is fast enough for what I use it for.

I initially bought this tablet for myself but ultimately gave it to my husband and decided to get myself an iPad Air tablet thinking I could do more with that tablet instead. I was very shocked to learn he could actually do more than I could on this tablet than I could on a tablet 5 times the cost of this one. First it has more options and free apps through its App Store so he right there can do more with just that. He can add his own music and transfer files to and from it easily where I have to sync to a special program every time to back it up or add certain things and most of my music has to be purchased or imported into an app to be transferred to my tablet. It’s a lot of work where he has his done long before me. Then he can also change up more features of the actual tablet too where I am limited to what came on the tablet or what I can buy from the App Store unless I “jailbreak” it which is a big no no. This tablet has an amazing battery life and the vibrant colors and display pixels when watching movies etc are outstanding! Crisp, clear, and radiates colors you didn’t even realize were possible. Again better than my new tablet. In addition when he watches something on this tablet it uses the entire screen width and length but my iPad Air cuts off the top and bottom reducing the amount of screen which is a huge bummer when I bought the size I did to have a bigger screen when watching movies. Even with the big screen size it has this tablet is still very lightweight and compact so it’s easy for him to take to work every day. (Even with a case on it.) Another bonus is that it has an expandable memory (again something mine does not have) and this allows for him to store data on a memory card further giving him way more memory in total than I have (and has to pay a lot more extra for.) This truly is such a fantastic tablet! I plan on purchasing 2 more as gifts for my kids too. So if you are looking for a great quality tablet that won’t break the bank I highly recommend this tablet! It has more bells and whistles than the extremely pricy tablets. It definitely outshines my expensive one and I should have totally kept this for myself but lesson learned I know what tablet I will be getting myself in the future.

This is a great tablet for the price. I did buy it when on sale ($50 off), but if I was sure it was as good as I found it, I would have paid the full price. Fantastic screen, it's easy to use for us Android phone users, and plenty of memory with the added memory card. I bought it to read PDFs which my Kindle cannot. Works well, especially with the blue light dimmer.

I purchased this to replace my 10 inch Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 from 2015. The new tablet is not at all slow with anything I do (which was a big issue with the 2015 tablet) and also it's battery life is much improved. Also I don't notice the tablet getting warm after hours of usage like the older tablet. I got the 128GB model so that I could store all of my apps without needing an external flash card. I much prefer the USB-C interface in the new tablet over the old micro usb. I also really like the improved version of Android. My old tablet only had Android 6.x. In summary, I am extremely happy with the purchase.
