Happy Happy Happy
I'm in love with my Galaxy smart watch active 2. This watch is the best one yet. Its comfortable. Light weight, I forget I have it on at times and I even sleep with it on time to time, and that's only because I forget to take it off. I love the new new band style any size fits because of the new band style. I was nervous about how big it would look on my small wrist but it's perfect. Not too big not too small. Just perfect. Functionality is awesome. I am able to manage and switch between apps with ease. The battery life is great I still have half battery life after a full days use, and I keep my setting on always on. If you are on the fence about getting this watch you most definitely should go for it, you will be glad that you did. This new active 2 does not disappoint.

93% AWESOME WATCH FOR USE WITH GALAXY PHONE!!!
This is a great watch that pairs really well with my Galaxy S9+. The good: * Battery life is very good. Samsung only says that the battery will last all day and that life varies depending in functions used. It lasted 3 days for me using the walking app for up to 2 hours per day and the sleep app at night (along with normal watch and viewing notifications usage). Various review sites give it about the same charge expectancy. * Installed apps are good. Some sites with older reviews from when the Active 2 was first released say it comes with the sleep app but mine did not. I was able to download it for free from Samsung, so maybe they have changed what comes pre-installed since its release. * Some installed apps can be uninstalled to free up space, some cannot all can be uninstalled. * It is very customizable. Menu for the additional apps can be shown and accessed via a circular menu using icons only or you can change it to display as a list-style menu with icon + text. * Nice response time. I first tried a $60 generic android watch from Amazon (which I returned). It was okay but was slow. Both watches, the other and the Galaxy Active 2, have a mode to have a blank display to conserve battery power, and then come on when you raise your arm to view the watch. The cheap watch took 2 - 3 seconds to display the time. This watch is much faster - it seems to take less than half a second. Not instantaneous, but fast enough that I can only guess at how fast it is. * You can use this watch to answer calls and call others when paired to your phone via Bluetooth, and it works well enough. Given the size of the watch it has a small speaker that is usable in a quiet area but is not loud enough to work in a noisy environment. I have the Bluetooth only version, does not have LTE, so I was not able to test the LTE connectivity. I suspect the sound quality will be the same. Now the bad, and there's not much bad to say about it: * There are not as many apps available for the Active 2 because it uses Samsung's Tizen Operating System (OS), not Google's Wear OS. In my research I couldn't find any app that was made for Wear OS only that would push me to a Wear OS enabled watch. Some of the best watch apps are made for both Tizen and Wear OS's (and the Apple watch). * I wish more pre-installed apps could be uninstalled. Some can be uninstalled. Some can be hidden but not uninstalled, so it helps in menu selections but not in memory usage. Example: Samsung Pay is pre-installed but I don't have it and don't plan on usng it. I'd like to free up that space but can't. Hey Samsung: fix this and I'll give you back 5% more in my AWESOME rating. :-D * My favorite watch face is shown in the attached images. One shows the screen layout only and the other is a screenshot from the phone showing SOME of the option available to customer it. The items on the upper left & right portion of the screen and bottom left & right can be chosen by the user (or deleted if not all spaces are needed). On the screen each location is referred to as "Complication Top left" or complication top right, etc. The use of the word "complication" seems odd and I will attribute to a weird language translation. The main issue in this menu, to me, is that there is no option to add the Day of the Week to this watch face. Hey Samsung... fix this and I'll give you back 2% in my AWESOME rating. :-D

Great Purchase
I could not have asked for a better watch. It's comfortable and easy to use. This is my first smart watch purchase in 5 to 6 years and wasn't looking for a watch but the price and reviews were all excellent so I decide to purchase one. This watch looks and feels like a more expensive watch and I paid under 250 bucks. I saw my ex wife's Fitbit Versa 3 and my watch blows that one away. I highly recommended the watch especially if you're an android user like me.

This watch is great
I had an MK Access watch and it was starting to show its age (slowed down, battery life was getting worse, etc..) I searched for an upgrade and came down between an older Frontier or the Active2 I went with the Active 2 for its minimalist design and increased IP rating. Performance has been fantastic. HR monitor has been very accurate (I work in an emergency department so I have been able to confirm the HR with a medical grade heart monitor.) The Active2 has been accurate with a margin of error of 2-3 BPM. Battery life is phenomenal getting 2.5 days with HEAVY use. My only complaint is the built in keyboard for responding to texts the MK watch had android wear so it came with a built in qwerty keyboard and swype. If galaxy offered a qwerty keyboard it would be a home run.

Great SmartWatch for both fitness & general use
The watch itself is a pretty good piece of tech. It can look however you want it to look since you can change the band and put different custom watch faces on it as well. You can even put different covers over the face and sides. I originally got a Galaxy Gear S2 for my first try in the SmartWatch scene. I hated it! Completely different story with this. The heart rate and general stress app/sensor works great. The apps you can download have gotten much better. The battery when the watch face is on all the time is roughly 2 days for me. If I change some settings the battery can be just over 3 days. All in all I would highly recommend this watch to anyone looking to join the SmartWatch community or just upgrade their watch in general.
