I've owned Galaxy Watch 5, 7 and now 9. I haven't noticed any earthshaking changes between the 7 and 9. The 9 has extra casing around the watch face which requires new bumper cases. The bands are also different, meaning GW 5 and GW 6 bands no longer fit. I haven't noticed much difference in the battery life. If anything maybe an hour or two but not half a day. Performance seems about the same as well. I'm glad I upgraded, simply to stay up to date with the latest One UI features and to keep in sync with the One UI features on my S25+. But, otherwise I don't see any compelling reason to upgrade if you're happy with a GW7 or 8. If you have something older I recommend you look at the GW9. It's a big step up from the older models in my opinion.

I have been a Samsung user for years. My first watch was the Galaxy Classic 6. There were many improvements I wished it had, and finally able to upgrade, I found all I was looking for and more. Samsung Health is top tier, and all my apps work seamlessly. The watch has a nice, large, bright display and easy-to-control functions that are both integrated and simple. I highly recommend the Galaxy Watch 9.

I upgraded to this model from a watch 6 and there's just so much new from a health monitoring standpoint that I couldn't get before. At first the battery life seemed like it was lower than the 6, but now after turning off some of the extra power guzzling options, I get more than two days of life which is also a big upgrade.

I absolutely love this Galaxy Watch9! It looks great, works smoothly, and has all the features I need for everyday use. The battery life, performance, and overall design are excellent. Definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made I highly recommend it!

More of the same; the blood pressure monitoring feature is great—like something brand new—but it has to be charged daily. I don't see any improvement compared to the Series 7 watch.

Battery life is great. It is very durable and comfortable on the wrist would definitely recommend item.

This watch is actually more comfortable when you wear it compared to the 8th edition. The previous one had some slight discomfort after a certain amount of time of wearing during the day. This model feels more snug and works a lot faster when using it. Love it for exercising too.

I like the size and shape of the watch. An improvement over the watch 7, from which I upgraded. The band is comfortable, and I can now take blood pressure, to go with the oxygen sensor.

Had very long lasting battery life so far, looks and feels very nice.

I absolutely love my new Samsung Galaxy Watch 9! It’s sleek, elegant, and incredibly comfortable to wear all day. The health and fitness features are amazing, and I love being able to keep track of my activity, heart rate, sleep, and overall wellness right from my wrist. The design is beautiful and goes perfectly with both casual and dressy outfits. The battery life has also been great for my daily routine. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend the Galaxy Watch 9 to anyone looking for a stylish smartwatch with great features!

I don't really see a big improvement vs the Watch 8. All of the upgrades are internal. It feels a little faster. The battery life doesn't feel like an upgrade. The thing I really don't like is this watch is it has a painted metal bezel around the screen which looks terrible if it gets scratched because the paint will come off. It doesn't make sense to have a scratch resistant screen with a bezel that scratches. I take the watch off whenever I am working outside, which partially defeats its purpose. With the trade in of an old watch, it still makes sense to have the latest technology.

I recently switched over to Samsung and got the Galaxy Watch9 to go with my new phone, and I’m loving it so far! It was super easy to set up and everything works together really smoothly. I love being able to see my notifications, track my activity, and customize the watch to fit what I want. The screen looks great and the 44mm size is perfect for me. Definitely happy with my purchase!

Being somewhat slimmer It is definitely more comfortable, and so far battery life seems to be a little better.

The Galaxy Watch 9 exceeded my expectations! Setup was quick and easy, and the watch feels premium right out of the box. The fitness tracking, sleep monitoring, and health features work great, and I love how responsive the interface is. The Battery life could have been better, that's the only downside. The screen looks fantastic even outdoors. If you're looking for a smartwatch that does almost everything, this is an excellent choice!

I love this product. It works great, very user friendly and does exactly what I want. Had many different features, some I dont even use, but does what I need and want. Has allowed me peace as it is used as my last line of communication with my daughter who is in the Army. I can make sure I never miss her call!

I have only had the watch a few days and getting ready to go away and have not had a chance to work out the watch. One feature I do not like are the watch face options available and the ease of accessing the available watch faces. The watch is very comfortable and light weight. Once charged the battery lasts almost all day.

Works great to quickly review notifications without having to reach for the phone. It's definitely good at reminding you to get moving when in a sedentary office environment to get a little exercise.

This watch has really good battery life, so many other features. I love the pressure app. It wasn't hard to connect, you'll need a cuff machine to sync it to your watch. And I also love the size, everything is readable. Excellent speed going from one app to the next..Great buy!

what I dislike is that the watch bands on the watch dosen't allow it to sit flat so my Samsung wireless charger is worthless. You must use the provided charger cable. A lot of information about you in a watch.

My wife galaxy watch 7 has batter batteries in this watch and the charging issues needs to be addressed . I can't even charge it on back of my ultra . That needs to be addressed. For now I said okay watch if you got the 7 stay with it it's better.
