Very good, quality, and strong soundbar,& subwoofer. I was forced to upgrade to this , because my goal was to get wireless rear speakers,& they are only compatible with 3 newer Samsung soundbars! I am extremely saris with this soundbar and woofer,& the ease to connect it to everything! It is bigger,& louder than the smaller,& slightly less Samsung soundbars.

Had a less expensive model and couldn't make out some of the words. This one is much better. Words are clearer and bass is much better.

I would say this is a good system overall, not great but very good. The setup on this system in my opinion was way too complex. I really wish these sound bar people would figure out a way to plug this thing and optimally tune itself for every situation. With that being said I will say this thing really whales especially when I’m playing music through the Bluetooth. The thing I like the least is on some programs it sounds like the people are talking in a tunnel. I have gotten used to it but I still don’t care for that aspect very much. Now when I’m watching a well broadcast movie or football game the sound is spectacular. Is it worth the pricey sticker? I would say yes but just barely. It does blow away my old Sony sound bar and it looks much nicer too.

Pros, easy to assemble, clean, clean sound Cons, the bass is not so strong, the Bluetooth availability to use with Spotify is missing, too heavy Resuming, it is a good spud bar, but it will not make a party in your living room

This system is exactly what it says it is. It fills my studio appartment with room filling sound. Also upped the value of my 70in Samsung. Very nice you can add wireless back speakers.

Bought this item in "open box excellent" condition which means it should not be missing any vital components or have much cosmetic damage. It was missing the HDMI cable and the wall mount. The surface of the subwoofer was decently scratched as well. Not sure why this is being sold as "open box excellent". I should have checked in store before taking this home. Lesson learned though. When I reached out to online customer care, they said to "happily visit the best buy store" in a passive-aggressive way. I have been a loyal best buy customer for the past few years, and this is the first bad experience I have had so far at Best Buy.

I recently purchased the Samsung HW-Q900A 7.1.2ch Soundbar with Dolby Atmos in Black, eager to enhance my home entertainment experience with high-quality audio. While I loved many aspects of this soundbar, the volume levels ultimately left me wanting more, leading me to return the product. One of the standout features of this soundbar is the Dolby Atmos technology, which creates an immersive, three-dimensional audio experience. This definitely added depth and dimension to the sound, making movies and music come to life. Additionally, the soundbar's sleek design and black color allowed it to blend seamlessly with my living room setup. The setup process was also straightforward and hassle-free, which I appreciated. It was easy to connect the soundbar to my TV and other devices, and the included remote control made navigating the various settings a breeze. However, despite the impressive audio quality and features, I was disappointed with the volume levels. I expected a soundbar of this caliber to be able to deliver a powerful and room-filling sound, but the volume simply did not meet my expectations. At higher levels, the audio began to lose some of its clarity, and I found myself constantly adjusting the volume in an attempt to find the perfect balance. In the end, I decided to return the Samsung HW-Q900A 7.1.2ch Soundbar with Dolby Atmos - Black because it did not provide the level of volume I desired for my home entertainment setup. While I loved the Dolby Atmos technology and overall design, I ultimately needed a soundbar that could deliver a more powerful and impactful audio experience. If you're in the market for a soundbar with exceptional audio quality and an immersive soundstage, the Samsung HW-Q900A 7.1.2ch Soundbar might be a great fit for you. However, if you prioritize powerful, room-filling volume, you may want to consider alternative options that can better meet your needs.

The HW-Q900 7.1.2 ch Soundbar with Dolby Atmos / DTS:X is amazing. Setup was incredibly easy and I love that everything is run without a bunch of cords. The wireless/Bluetooth connectivity is perfect. We were ready to test this product out in less than 15 minutes. The product looks great in our room and is of excellent quality. The Q Symphony immerses you in incredible sound. The sound comes from every direction which worked perfectly with our setup because our TV is on a mount at an angle. This is definitely a great feature for those with odd room sizes and setups. I also love the Alexa feature to easily get my music going which makes getting chores done a breeze. My kids even said it was like being at the movie theater because the sound was so good. They love watching their favorite movies with this new system. We all highly recommend this product.

I already had a soundbar which I thought was great. But it was older and I figured I'd try something newer and better. The very first thing I noticed when I unboxed this soundbar was the massive size and weight of it compared to my old one. It was almost twice as large, in both length, width, and weight. But would it actually sound better? The answer to this question is a resounding YES! The very first thing I did was to crank of a movie preview on one of my favorite streaming services. While this didn't come with rear satellite speakers, the sound was incredible. I truly felt like I was sitting in a movie theatre watching previews before the featured picture. I also have a Samsung TV so I was curious to try out the Q-Symphony technology. Unfortunately this took alot of effort to get working as I had to scour the internet to find a solution that worked. The only way to get it working was to connect the Soundbar to the TV over Wifi. I'm hoping Samsung comes up with a fix so it can connect over HDMI as I was reading you lose Atmos by connecting with Wifi. However, the Q-Symphony sound was as I was hoping. The sound jumps out at you from the TV while having a strong sound from the soundbar as well. Kudos to Samsung for coming up with a way to integrate the TV and sound system together. *Note, I was provided this product at a discount to provide my honest feedback.*

Hi y2kendall!
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung 7.1.2 HW-Q900A soundbar with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X bringing you 3D true surround sound. I am glad to hear you are enjoying the sound quality provided from your new Samsung soundbar.
Q-Symphony is available when you connect the soundbar to the TV using an HDMI cable or an optical cable. You will also need to change the source on your soundbar to D.IN or TV ARC. To do this, press Source on the soundbar’s remote until “D.IN” appears.
Once the soundbar has been connected and D.IN is set, “TV+Soundbar” will appear under the Sound Output menu of the TV. Select the corresponding option. Now Q-Symphony will activate, and you’ll hear amazing surround sound.

Best of the soundbars that I have tried. It sounds very good, for a soundbar. I actually does well with music. The sub can get very loud, very deep, and isn't boomy with proper placement. The remote is very nice and well thought out, the app can be a pain sometimes, Samsung was smart enough in include a multi EQ. Delay when controlling volume with the TV remote, I found this irritating. I went back to components because I didn't get a great sound stage with the bar and it someones wasn't loud enough, this isn't the bars fault, I had it in a very large living room. A small to medium size room, this bar would be the ticket. I do not like the fabric covering, nor the display being on the top.

This Samsung Q900A soundbar sounds a lot better than my current 7.1.2 soundbars especially when watching movies; the center channel produces better and clearer vocal sound. The Atmos,DTX, surrounding effects are very good considering there are no true surrounding or ceiling speakers. I feel the surrounding effect could even better with the addition of optional surrounding speakers. I am happy that this soundbar has the EARC connection to match with the EARC on my TV. The subwoofer produces plenty of bass. I bought this soundbar at a discount price in exchange for a honest review and it's definitely worth the price I paid for. Now I just need to find a great deal on the surrounding rear speakers.

I think that this is the best sound system I have ever owned. The soundbar is large, and I was very impressed by the sound quality. There were two features that I thought were great. The subwoofer has the ability to tune itself to its physical surroundings, which was very useful. Also, there is a feature called Q Symphony where you can play the soundbar with your Samsung TV's speakers also. This give you a richer, surround sound feel to the audio.

I grabbed an open box unit, paired it with the optional Wireless rears and was frankly astonished at the performance. On initial setup, everything was wildly overpowered regardless of volume, but after adding the Soundbar to SmartThings app and running the tuning feature, it cleaned up into a lovely Atmos surround field. The sheer wattage and volume this thing packs is way more than I could ever comfortably use, but the fidelity and positional detail, as well as ease of use (after setup!) made this a real bargain. Even at full retail I think I would be more than happy. It's BIG. Long, heavy, giant sub and the HW 9500s rear speakers are big and heavy too but at least they have all the wireless and codec stuff built in, no need for speaker wire or the infra red box used on the smaller ones.

Coming from a Samsung K650 soundbar, I thought going from a 2.1 to a 3.1 soundbar would be amazing. Going to a 7.1.2 was an even bigger difference. While this soundbar is not the "ultimate" for Atmos, the side firing speakers do help provide a wider sound field. The subwoofer is definitely powerful and I like that the firmware for both can be updated via SmartThings app. Overall this soundbar proved to be a nice upgrade with "adequate" Atmos performance as well. My only quirk is that it tends to turn on by itself - I have read it is due to Spotify Connect, but have not tried troubleshooting further. Also the tiny LCD screen that is mounted on the top is a little silly considering its size and viewable only when standing above the soundbar.

This thing sounds phenomenal, like being in a movie theater. It is so realistic sounding and clear. What is also great is that I can control many of the settings for it on my Samsung QLED TV (while connected with HDMI-eARC) or with the SmartThings app. The only drawback with this soundbar is that the display is on the top, but that doesn't matter much and its sound and compatibility with a Samsung TV completely makes up for that.
