Returned another player because remote was poor, didn't always work. Buttons on this one great, solid, works when you press it. Menu not great for adding additional programs, and a limited choice of add-ons.80% of the screen taken up with four large buttons to play disc, photos, videos, and music, from a USB connection. Only a few small buttons for add-on at the bottom. Most add-on choices only accessible through one button for opera tv store, where you can save your choice of channels from their limited supply. Have played DVDs, Pandora, and movie stations, all great. No wireless on this, MUST connect by Ethernet.

Its a great Blu Ray. I haven't tried the smart apps because I have a smart TV but I will say that I got some DVDs from the library the were scratched to hell and it played them without I skip. I couldn't believe it.

I'm not sure how much to go on about this device. I have a Roku so I do not use the streaming benefits of this player. But it was a great price and the streaming option was just an added benefit. The player is small, easy to set up and it stays out of the way. The remote works well and it plays beautifully.

Today in my humble opinion I feel that anything you buy that is a Samsung brand is going to be a wonderful product. The Quality of this player is exceptional. It is very easy to use, and I have been pleased with its simplicity. I must say that there will not be a better blu-ray player for the money. Operation is straightforward and simple. I love the fact that I can stream Netflix as well as other online streaming services. Please heed my warning and I suggest spending $25-$30 more and get the next model up that allows for wireless streaming through your Wi-Fi connection. This model must be hooked up directly with the cable to your router to receive any of the online streaming services. For just a little bit more money it makes it easier so that you don't have to run a cable. I simply ran a cable because it was no big deal. I feel that you'll be happy with the purchase of this Samsung player.

I really like the small compact size of this unit. it works beautifully in every way. it is easy to understand and use its various source functions. MY Blu-ray and DVD movies have astounding on-screen clarity. the audio is clear and precise. another thing that I like is that you have the option of connecting it to the internet for firmware updates and access to the various on-line steaming sites, and if you don't have another internet service connection available you can update the firmware by using downloaded updates stored on a flash drive.

Very easy to use and setup. It is also pretty small. However, required to get my own cables for the DVD player. I don't have a BD DVD to try, but I used it with my DVD in other region( DVD from Hong Kong) and it works perfectly. One bad thing that I don't like about this DVD is it does not have signal lights, so I don't know if the DVD player is on/off if I did not turn on the TV.

We just moved into a new house and don't have cable tv yet and this was purchased to allow us to watch some movies on our big screen during the holidays. It's a very compact unit and plays blu ray discs and netflix. It was very easy to set up and use and performs exactly as described. It's a good value for the price.

Works great and price was right. Main complaint is it doesn't have an on-off indicator light or a DVD tray light, so in a darkened room you can't tell if it is on or off to start with and it's hard to see the tray to put the DVD in place.. Otherwise, we are quite satisfied with it and would recommend it to others.

Plays DVDs and Blu Rays very nicely. Very easy set up and extremely user friendly. No skipping or freezing problems. My only complaint is that there is no indicator light or screen of any kind. There is an on/off button but no light or screen to indicate whether it is on or off. A minor issue but worth mentioning.

I haven't used this Blue-Ray player much since I purchased it but have had no problems with it and the picture is quite nice. I also like it's small size. One thing that is missing that I would have liked is a power light. I would have given the player a 5-star rating had it not been for the absence of this light.

I recently purchased a 4k TV and was in need of a Blu-Ray disc player so I could enjoy Blu-Ray movies that I owned and also so I could tweak settings on my new set with Blu-Ray versions of the DVE and Disney WOW discs. With the new 4k/UHD Blu-ray players coming later in 2015/2016, I had zero interest in laying down any more than absolutely necessary on a Blu-Ray player. This Samsung player fit the bill and, much to my surprise, it's a very capable player. It plays regular ol' DVD discs as well as Blu-Ray. It'll also playback BD-R and DVD-R discs, though there may be coding limitations with those formats - read the instructions for more info. Blu-Ray content is pristine coming from the player and passing through my AVR to my TV. This model does have a limited number of connections - 1 HDMI out, 1 coax/digital out - so, if your theater setup requires anything other than HDMI or Coax, then this particular unit may not work for you. This model doesn't do 3-D, either. This player does have Smart TV apps, but you will need an ethernet cable from your router to enjoy those. My particular implementation doesn't allow for that, so I can't comment on whether that works or how well it works. I didn't think WiFi was worth the additional cost and, frankly, Roku, Apple TV, and Chromecast, and many others are all FAR better at serving up online video content to a TV than all of the built-in BD player or TV apps that are currently available. My particular unit was a customer return, so I did save additional $ off the sales price. Box was in good shape, all of the accessories were there, and the unit works great. It does not have the multiple connection options or the upscaling and audio prowess of an Oppo, but it'll more than hold me over until the new UHD BD players hit the market and drop to an affordable price point.

This is a nice bluray player for the price. Feels solid for its size(not chincey). Plays awesome, and has most of the features a more expensive model would. My only issue, is that there is no power indicator light when the unit is on. Other than this, it is a great bluray player.

This player is a steal for how great the price is. It has wonderful quality. I am very happy with this player. It's small and light weight. I have not done any streaming but I'm not having any doubts about it.

Easy set-up with a lot of features available for use. Smooth operation with silent, easy sliding tray door. Gives great picture and quality. Small, compact and doesn't take up much space.
