A: Doug, I was on the phone with Samsung about this last week. The HD2018GH is supposedly the model released in March 2018, but I can't find it ANYWHERE. I see ONE online retailer. I don't know what's going on and I'm frustrated since i just bought a new Samsung washer and dryer that specifically for this type of features.
A: Yes, I bought this one for my refrigerator even though it says It’s for laundry. I agree WI-FI should be built in if your spending thousands on an appliance.

A: This is the smart home adapter for certain Samsung washers and dryers. Specifically, it works with the 45K6200, 45K6500, and 50K7500 series of washers and dryers. It also requires the Samsung Smart Home app for Android and iOS as well as home wifi.
Q: Do you need one for each machine? Specifically washer and dryer.
A: Yes you will need an adapter for each appliance. They work great with the smart home app, allowing you to monitor the laundry process from your smart phone. Others have indicated that you can only monitor but it must depend on the appliance model because I can start and stop both Samsung washer and dryer using my smart phone. However, setup can be a little tricky but not time consuming.
Q: Does this work on Samsung TV, LN40D550K1FXZC?
A: No. This is designed for the washers. It's not a general WiFi adapapter.
