I recently picked up the SanDisk Extreme Portable 2TB USB-C NVMe SSD (Monterey), and I have to say I’m really impressed. From the moment I started using it, the speed stood out—transferring large music files, videos, and backups was noticeably faster than with other drives I’ve owned. I consistently get close to the advertised 1,000+ MB/s speeds, which makes my workflow much smoother. The design is another highlight. It’s compact enough to slip into my pocket, and the rugged build gives me peace of mind when traveling. I’ve already dropped it once by accident, and it held up with no issues at all. The IP65 rating is also reassuring since I’m often outdoors and around water—it feels built to handle real-life use, not just desk work. On top of that, I like the built-in carabiner loop, which makes it easy to clip onto my bag so I don’t lose it. The added password protection and hardware encryption are great bonuses for keeping my files secure. If I had to point out one minor downside, the drive does get a little warm during long transfers, but it hasn’t affected performance in my experience. Overall, this SSD has been exactly what I needed—fast, reliable, and rugged. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs dependable portable storage, especially for creative work or travel.

SanDisk is one of the most reliable digital media storage brands in the world, that's why I ONLY use these SSDs for all of my professional photography and video production work. These portable SSDs are small, fast, and extremely reliable. I wouldn't trust anything else for my work.

I have always been satisfied with Sandisk products. This one is no different. Small and compact! Yes it does get warm, but trust me this ssd is a beast in its class!!!

Great product with a nice size package. One of several I own. They have been very good products with a good deal of use.

Light weight, small and sturdy. I was looking for something just like this. Being clumsy, i do keep dropping things and wanted something thats rugged. Definitely recommend this.

It’s compact, fast and reliable. It is a very cute and compact ssd, would easily fit in small space. The build quality is good. The read and write speed is good too.

I'm in love with this drive. It is about half the size of the typical smartphone, and easily fits in one's pocket. I got the two terabyte model on sale at a price I just couldn't pass up. The one terabyte model would be a good option for those looking to save a little money. This makes for the perfect, "Break glass in case of emergency," sort of backup drive. I was getting consistent write speeds of around 160 mb per second. The drive comes pre-installed with SanDisk security software to help you encrypt the drive, should you choose to do so prior to use.

Easy to understand the instructions and to use! Great for storing my game data!

Very light and solid! It's lightweight and robust. Fast transfer and reliable but the pro version is faster. But, overall good bang for the buck!
