The one terabyte model would be a good option for those looking to save a little money. This makes for the perfect, "Break glass in case of emergency," sort of backup drive. I was getting consistent write speeds of around 160 mb per second. The drive comes pre-installed with SanDisk security software to help you encrypt the drive, should you choose to do so prior to use.
