If not a speed demon on the level of the newest high end NVMe drives, this offers broad compatibility with somewhat older devices with performance that will be an obvious step up from standard mechanical HDD. Differences among models in the extreme high end are increasingly apparent mostly just to specialized use cases that put a high demand on storage performance as opposed to being apparent in ordinary use. This drive is a drop-in replacement with a standard SATA interface. The SanDisk brand offers a certain level of trust and this is a step above the 'budget' class of SSD lacking onboard RAM. Though this particular unit didn't get along with one specific older laptop (hanging on startup) it otherwise works as expected in another machine,

I highly recommend solid state hard drives since they leave the analog dives in the dust when reading and writing to them. Windows loads almost instantly as well as programs. No screws are included which is unfortunate.

Fast, easy to install. Does require software such as EaseUS Partition Manager to copy an existing OS and data to the SSD. Size your SSD to handle all of the OS plus Program Files and Program Files (X86). If your user data won't fit, then you will need to your Pictures, Music, and Videos to a separate HDD, then delete them from the original HDD before transferring to the SSD. Optionally, just purchase a larger SSD to allow copying all of your HDD to the new SSD.

Made my old PC 6 times faster. Really good bang for the buck.

I must admit that this hard drive made my laptop run much faster, the startup without the long delay is amazing. Great price on the bestbuy, looking forward on buying another one soon.

I use SSD's all the time for my custmers. Absolutely the best price/performance upgrade for most users. Best Buy beats Amazon for me, one great thing is that they charge the sales tax at the correct rate.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money, replacing your old drive with a new SSD is the way to go! My old computer runs like it did when it was new!

These drives are great and much faster than the internal drives that came with my wife's 2010 13" MacBook Pro. They aren't as fast as the EVO drives (which I also purchased from Best Buy for another upgrade) but, they were an excellent choice for what I needed and cheaper. The upgrade was fast and painless. It brought back life to her 10 year old MacBook.

This is a must for anyone still running a spinning disk hard drive. Much faster and the prices on SSD's keep falling.

SSD is awesome. I installed fresh copy of windows. The startup time is so gooood...4 secs for the windows to comeup. that's a YaY!!!!. I have not run benchmarks on this. So far i like this. I do have a Sandisk SSD plus which is 3 year old one. compared to that i like this one better ....
