Easily transfer photos, videos and more from your OTG (On The Go)-enabled Android smartphone or tablet to your computer with this SanDisk Ultra SDDD2-032G-A46 32GB flash drive, which features micro USB and USB 3.0 interfaces to simplify connection.
Q: Will this work as an extra storage drive for my phone?
A: Yes. It is just like any other storage device except it makes it easier to transfer the info, if you want to. For example, if you want to keep music on there from your phone (using the micro usb side), you can use the usb 3.0 side later to plug into your car and listen to that music. I love it!
Q: Can you load your device photos on this, and the reload to your phone's Se card?
A: Yes, it works just like any usb device. Copy from computer to this drive, mount it on your phone and use a file explorer to copy or move the files over.
Q: Which SanDisk app do we need to use to transfer photos from phone to the usb drive?
A: I have a Samsung Note 5 and did not need an app to transfer my photos to it. I just went under my files and moved them from there.
A: Sound quality doesn't have anything to do with the USB stick you use. It is a matter of what quality was the recording made in and what quality of the playback device is. If a song is MP3 and recorded with less than 128K bits per second, it will sound poor but take up less space. 192K is probably optimal as it has very good quality and still, reasonable file size. Again, these figures are for MP3 format, which I would guess that your car radio is looking for.
Q: How well does the retracting mechanism work?
A: I have had it for a month, and the switch still stays in place. In fact, it's a little stiff to operate, but I'd rather that than have it slide around.
Q: Can this USB storage device be plugged into my computer to listen to what I storred?
A: Yes. You don't need any special software to use the music files that you have stored on the USB stick, as your computer will treat this USB stick as just another attached (external) USB hard drive. Your music files have to be compatible with the music player that you have on your computer, though, in order to play.
Q: Is this backwards compatible with usb 2.0?
A: Yes. I have used it with a MacBook Air with USB 2 ports.
Q: Does this work with iPhone 6?
A: This will work with any Android device that uses MICRO-USB cables. They make a different one for Apple products that use Lightning cables. That is the one you need.
