Everything SanDisk is trust-worthy and their SSDs are some of the best. -- I upgrade all laptops and desktops that still use mechanical drives with a SanDisk SSD. Even if the mechanic drive is working, the benefits to switch to SSD is well-worth the effort and price!

If you ever need a computer upgrade switching to a solid slate drive as your operating system boot drive is life changing. Overall good deal A+

I needed a larger SSD for my cinema camera and wanted to take a chance on a cheaper one, and I have not had a single problem, or dropped frames, I’m getting over 5hrs with prores and a lil over an hour with DNG RAW, really happy with the purchase and taking the chance on it!

The San Disk SSD has top performance and the longest warranty to date. It's priced competitively too.

Excellent SSD the difference between my old mechanical hard drive & this new one is unbelievable. I went from an almost 2 minute boot time to 20 seconds...unreal.

My 2014 Mac Mini has been acting sluggish and I knew it was due to the many software updates Apple has. Ive watched DIY YouTube videos on how to swap the HDD, was a bit scared to do it myself but eventually did it. Now I’m a happy camper, it’s faster than it ever was, it almost feels like my Mac Mini with the M1 chip.

I have a great system with the exception of my old style hdd. Long load times in games was just too much. This was super easy to install, plug it in and use free easus todo backup to clone my drive. Load times in Xcom 2 went from over a minute to 10 seconds. Other games not so dramatic, but I am very happy now.

I been replacing a lot of client computers that support SATA drives with these SanDisk SSDs. The performance is great even on a 2009 MacBook.

This was a great buy on a really solid SSD. Used this to replace my stock 500 GB mechanical hard drive in my Mac Book Pro. Really good overall looking SSD with the all black sticker and case. Really good for a custom Gaming Tower install as well. Overall solid read and write to this drive. Really good drive for the price!

Installed SSD this in an ASUS laptop and boot time and application load times were substantially faster than with the standard HD. Installation was straightforward. Using cloning software required a download from the Sandisk support site. The software will also adjust partition sizes if your existing boot HD is a different size than the one you are installing. To clone as your laptop boot disk, you will need a USB-SATA adapter to temporarily connect the SSD to your laptop. For a desktop, you can install, clone the boot disk, then configure the desktop to boot from the SSD. You can also d/load a Sandisk utility to manage the SSD from their support site. Overall, good performance and good value, especially when on sale.

Love Sandisk, but lately I've been having problems with some of their products. That said, I recently had a USB 'Extreme' drive replaced and now I am having trouble with my newly installed Ultra SSD drive just within six months of use. My laptop was exhibiting screen flashes what appears to be video related but I later found out that it was the SSD that's causing the problem. It worked normally again until I finally got a Windows popup warning stating I should backup all data at once and replace the hard drive as soon as possible due to it failing any time. I submitted a warranty work order and been corresponding with Sandisk. Everything seemed fine during the process and they said it appears that the drive needed to be replaced and to submit pictures and receipt/invoice. It's been almost three weeks now and I've yet to hear of any further updates from them.

I know what you're thinking "You just pressed too hard" but I can assure you that is not the case. I have built my own pc's for over a decade now so I have a lot of experience making these connections and this has NEVER happened to me before. Not looking forward to trying to get my money back for this sub-standard product.

This SSD was installed on a 3rd generation i5 HP desktop bought in early 2013 (2012 release) along with an older graphics card and RAM maxed to 8GB. The HP boots quickly with no need to keep it on all day (power drain) to be able to sit down and go. It is ready in seconds. No longer a work machine, the HP is perfect for reading the news, playing solitaire or Sudoku, and web browsing. For fun I also added Ubuntu after carving out a 40GB partition. No problem there either. I highly recommend these drives to anyone who will listen. Prices are quite good right now. No reason to wait on slower technology from a time when the Internet meant AOL dial-up.

This drive is is super light, compact and easy to install. My laptop recognized it right away after installation and I only have to convert it from MbR to GPt using windows disk utility. I am using the drive as storage for my steam games. They load up instantly with this drive. Resident Evil 2 is up and running in 10 seconds flat. It’s great. I can’t comment on long term use of this drive as I have only had it for 3 days, but SanDisk does provide a 5 year Guarantee / warranty and honestly These drives are so cheap now that even if I burned it out in 2 or 3 years, I would have no problem purchasing another. All in all, you won’t be disappointed with this drive. Great value for your money.

I am in the process of upgrading my PC. I did one earlier and found out it is easy to do, so this is my second one. I have found out that it is a night and day type of difference in speed between a HDD and a SSD. I chose this Sandisk 512GB because of its size and cost per GB. I would suggest to anyone who has a HDD in their computer to give this Sandisk 512GB SSD a try, you won't regret your choice.

Installed this SSD to improve the speed on my laptop, and boy it did, also considerably big in space for the price, the gain in performance is unbelievable, I run multiple VM's with Parallels and this disk really helps a lot for a stable system run.
