So small and effective. It’s has a place where you can connect a strap to it. Glad they were thinking ahead about that so I don’t loose it. This 256gb usb does the job. It’s great to have backup and extra storage space when needed.

Whoever packaged the item to ship it out was the dullest crayon in the box. To make the package smaller, they folded the envelope that they shipped it in in half and instead of actually putting the flash drive in the envelope, they put the flash drive between the outside portions of the folded envelope. It wasn’t even inside of an envelope! I’m surprised that I even got it because the flash drive couldn’t easily slipped out from between the folded over envelope (I didn’t even have to open anything/the envelope to get to the flash drive/flash drive’s packaging.). Needless to say, because it was wet with freezing rain and snow on the delivery date of the flash drive and because of it not even being inside of a shipping envelope, the flash drive’s packaging was wet/damp when I received it. So much so that some of the brand embossing on the actual flash drive itself was already worn off. In addition, because the dummy that packaged it was trying to create a smaller package, he/she created a large deep crease across the entire back of the packaging, large and deep enough to where it nearly caused an opening in the packaging itself. And again, this was all caused by whoever packaged the item to ship it out to me (and yes, it was an item that was sold by Best Buy, not sold by a third party).

The flash drive itself is fairly small and made of smooth metal, I have had to be careful not to fumble it. It does have a place in the end to put it on a key ring or such, so at least it isn't too hard to keep up with it. Also unlike many other drives it has to be pushed in to the USB port until it will not go in any further, as it has no feature externally or internally to let you know when it is in and properly seated. The drive I purchased is 256 GB and the bigger capacity causes it to feel _very_ hot to the touch as a result of use, but once ejected, it does usually cool off pretty fast. A plus is that it has a metal exterior case made all of one piece, so no plastic case to maybe fall apart as a result of super-heating. This drive also includes a SanDisk Secure Access encryption tool on it, it is pretty easy to use but beware, do _not_ lose your password! You can reset it, but you will lose any previously encrypted files and have to start from scratch if you do. I do believe the drive can be used without the encryption tool and will function as a regular drive. Data transfer rates seem to be fairly quick, however speed will vary depending on the capability of the USB port into which it is inserted (USB 3.0 vs. 2.0, etc.). I use my drive as long-term storage/back-up for important files such as music and family photos, etc., so far I have had no real problems with any performance of the drive (only time will tell how well it really does). I purchased this drive on sale but even had it been full price I feel like I got a very good deal. By the way, I am just a regular owner/user, I wrote the review I did because it is my honest opinion based on my own use of the product.

This flash drive is an excellent combination of price point, speed, and capacity, all bundled up in a stylish and tough package. I can't think of a product that betters it in any meaningful way.

i love how small, fast and reliable this USB is. 256GB is just the right size for me to transfer my files to keep it handy and accessible in my briefcase.

I recently realized that my old USB drive only held roughly 16GB which is easy to fill up. Plus it was only USB 2.0 and was very slow. So I purchased this one which is plenty of space and is fast.

I used this USB drive model for several years to store mp3 files for my car stereo. I've never measured the speeds, but it worked great and I never had issues. I'm only replacing it because I got into an accident with the same car, and forgot to grab the drive before the vehicle went to salvage.

Slenderest USB drive I've found. Perfect in two side-by-side USB slots on a laptop or in a port on a car as a music drive for those of us not wanting to pay for a streaming service. Built-in attachment point handy for attaching to a landyard or a loop of bright string for a recessed connection. In my experience, Sandisk is very reliable.

Worth the purchase. Small, easy to carry with a keychain, and enough space to backup large files.

I got this to back up all of my personal & financially sensitive files. I like that is very sleek in build quality and that you must use a password to get to the files. drive is large enough for all of my info. I will get a second one to have a secondary backup.

I bought several of these , I'm now finding that portable removable flash storage is MUCH better than either hard drive storage or cloud storage , and cost per gigabyte is very similar to hard drive storage

Easy to store. Works great. Gets a little warm but still works great.

i like it because its simple looking but durable it fits a little bit tight in the slot bu hasn't damaged anything has a couple scuffs on it

This sleek and slim USB flash drive does the job but can get quite hot when in use. The metallic finish looks very good and hopefully will prevent the unit from breaking up from the heat as other plastic USB flash drives have been reported to suffer from. I wish write speeds were faster but read speeds appear to be acceptable as watching videos from the flash drive on my Samsung Smart TV has no issues. I reformatted the flash drive to get rid of the included software that I have no use for. It formatted with a total capacity of 233 GB. I am concerned about the longevity because of the heat but it serves the purpose I bought it for.

As all the SanDisk items, this is a great product. It provide great storage capacity at a reasonable cost. It is easy to carry and use in various platforms. This would make a great Christmas gift for anyone that needs large storage of data on a small device.
