A: There’s a tool that came with it... look alike a big L .....read the manual....it needs to locked or tide up after you level the tv to lock in place...in case you didnt do a good job leveling you can adjusted afterwards and make level..its probably lose...

As for if it will adjust to this spacing it will be close, the spacing of the slots for mounting to the wall on the wall plate are spaced at 16", 17.72", 23.62" and 24".
