A: Not easy. I had to pry the cover open, cut out some plastic ribs in order to have the clearance to wind the cable under the cover. In my case you can not tell the cover was modified.
Q: Can other brands of soundbars fit or be used on the Sanus outlet shelf?

Q: Does this accommodate the newer Sonos Era 100 speaker?
A: Yes, I recently upgraded my old Sonos one with Era 100 and the shelf accomodated new Er1 00 speakers well.
A: I do t find that speaker to vibrate, but a Sonos one seems like it would be too heavy for this. It’s not flimsy, but those speakers are solid. I’d put an echo show or something like that on it.
Q: Does the Outlet Shelf support the SONOS ONE SL speaker?
A: It should. It supports up to 15 pounds.
A: I found it rather dificult to get a 6ft cable to fit. I intend on getting a smaller 1ft cable to make it a little cleaner than it currently is. I had to really coil it up tight.
A: It's a type of outlet cover, no wiring, just remove old plate cover and screw on this one. Easy.
Q: does the sanus outlet shelf come with the shorter cord for the play 1?
A: This supports more than just sonos speakers, so it does not include one. You can order one through bestbuy or Sonos.
