Finally! A great-sounding, reasonably-priced DYNAMIC USB/XLR combo mic. For those trying to get into podcasting, live-streaming, or gaming who don’t have a well-treated room, or don’t want to spend hundreds or thousands on a dynamic mic with an audio interface to drive it cleanly without buzz, this mic is the way to go. Being a dynamic mic, it’s less-sensitive than condenser mics marketed as “podcast mics” and even without the noise-cancelling enabled (USB only), it still picked up virtually no background noise with my A/C cranked. It comes with a table stand, but easily connects to my broadcast arms. I tend to use the beefier windscreen (it comes with 2), as I tend to keep the mic pretty close to my face and try to avoid heavy plosives. I must say too, it’s a very sleek and professional-looking mic if you’re recording on camera. No big, shiny brand logos, just a solid-sounding mic that blends in to the set.
