Customers have good things to say about the Vmic Mini's sound quality, ease of use, compact size, and affordability. Many appreciate its lightweight design and the inclusion of multiple cables for versatile compatibility. However, some users experienced difficulties with compatibility, particularly with certain devices. The product's functionality appears to vary depending on the device it's used with.
For the price this is a really good deal. I used to buy really expensive ones and they would sometimes not turned on and I would have like a bunch of clips that have no audio. And now whenever I fire up my camera this audio I don't have to turn on the mic there's no on button no off button it just flows. Like when I used to use Amazon ones there was this button that you had to push to start recording sound and guess who always forgets to push that button. This guy here has years of footage that's in the silence but not with this one this one here this mic right here can't go any better. For the price of course.

I bought this mic instead of the RODE Videomicro on camera microphone - Why? This mic is metal construction, comes with a TRS to TRRS cord, which allows you to use the mic with your cell phone, tablet, etc. The cord would have been an extra $15 purchase, if I had bought the RODE mic. The sound recorded with my Galaxy S8+ is great, which will be nice for Facebook Live Streaming on the go! The shock mount looks better than the one that comes with the RODE and it works very well using the 1/4" tripod mount or a Hot Shoe Flash Mount found on many camera tops and my JOBY tripod accessory (See Pic). You will have to be patient and careful when putting the wind screen on as it is a bit tight at the mic entrance point on the screen, which is a rubber stretchy port (See pic). I would not hesitate buying another of these mics.

Needed a compact and inexpensive mic that could run on plug in power for my secondary camera, this works well. Was previously using an older Rode VideoMic Pro but got tired of using 9V batteries. A nice surprise was the included fuzzy windscreen that can go over the foam windscreen when using in high winds.
