Absolutely love this mount. The magnet is strong and the suction holds for a long time before needing reseated. I would say this is a close second to my favorite NATO mount.

I enjoy Scosche products, as their magnets, for some reason, better than the competitors. Real easy to use as you place the suctioned portion on my windshield, and the magnet on my phone. Note: it does not work on my dashboard, so it only worked on glass. Overall, really pleased with my product.

This unit works quite well using suction to attach the base and a magnets to hold the phone in place. It has not come loose from my dash and holds my iPhone 7 with a single, very thin magnet placed between my phone case and phone.

Bought this unit for my Jeep Wrangler, but it took up too much real estate on either the dash or the already cramped visibility of the Jeeps windshield (for my Jeep, I went with the cigarette lighter/charger mount). I put THIS unit in my wife's Dodge Journey mounted to the top/center of the dash, and it fit's perfect! The mount is absolutely rock solid, and will not come off unless you REALLY want it to. The magnet hold her iPhone 7s in place like it's permanently attached using the large metal plate (both large and small metal plates are provided). Overall, this unit is very impressive in quality, durability and functionality and I intend on having one for every vehicle I own from now on.

Such a great product for the price. So easy to use and works well in the car. A big bump in the road does tend to dislodge the phone though. A pretty good solution to what is a painful problem

I've used this companies product for years I had the one that goes to the CD player I needed one that I could reach up one handed without being sidetracked this is my standards and works great I thought my phone would fall off getting some bumps but it works great and stays in place if you put it on the left side of your car I recommend that you get a longer phone cord so you can charge your phone at the same time

I purchased this primarily to allow me to use my phone as a GPS and it has served that purpose well. Mounted the unit to my dash and a magnetic strip to the back of my phone underneath the case. The strip is so thin if doesn't affect the fitting of the phone case. My car already has Bluetooth and a nice touchscreen, but using the GPS on my phone is cheaper than buying one or subscribing to OnStar.

Good mount, holds well an iphone 8 but it will detach randomly from the dashboard...guess the heat is the reason for that but still, annoying when you are driving. For colder climates i imagine it will work well.

I bought this because I frequently use Google Maps for navigation and have to try to hold it with a couple fingers while my hands are on the wheel, or put it on the passenger seat and hope the voice alerts me soon enough to make my turns. I initially mounted it on the dash, but found the position awkward to see the screen, and it was too easy to bump the charging cable and knock my phone down because part of it touched the dash and prevented a solid connection with the magnets. Ultimately, I moved it up to just left of the rearview mirror, where it is easy to see and the charging cable can be draped out of the way. This has been a great place for me as it's not blocking any of my vision and doesn't make me take my eyes off the road like looking down toward my dash would do. It comes with two magnet sizes to mount onto the phone. I used the larger one, feeling that it makes a bit better connection and I can nudge the phone a little if needed without it coming loose. The instructions say to mount the magnet onto the back of the phone, but instead I mounted it inside the hard outer shell of my phone case. If you need to reposition the mount, you will need to clean the suction cup as it's very slightly tacky and will get covered with dust and fuzz, preventing it from sticking to the new surface. I just used the little cleaning wipe provided with the mount to get everything off the cup, and to wipe off my windshield where I chose to place it. Once it was cleaned, it made a strong connection to the new surface and I've had no issues with it moving or losing suction. It has been working just great for me, and it's so simple just to press my phone up to it and let the magnets hold it without having to fiddle with clamps or screws etc. My phone has never fallen in the new position I placed the mount. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a simple phone mount so long as they're not wanting to put a giant phone or iPad/tablet on it as the magnet will not be strong enough to hold them.

It’s small, hold very well on window, and worth it’s cost.

This has been a great phone mount. I had had issues in the past with other mounts in hot whether where they would fall off, but did not have this issue with this one. The magnet hold the phone securely and I loved how easy it was it grab your phone and go.

This product works great for mobile phones. Such an amazing purchase and it holds through the entire trip, unlike some other products I have used. This dash mount will not disappoint you on your next trip! Easy to use and set up!

Small, compact and easy to install. Holds phone easily, leaves enough room for charging cord. Placed easily on dash anywhere you want it and does not obstruct view like windshield models. Love it!

Reviewing this after a year of using and has been great, no problems. For the very reasonable price it works very well, easy to put on and strong enough magnet to work with the several different case covers on phones...love it!

I purchased this to allow me a phone as GPS mount that I didn't have to remove from the windshield to put my sun screen up. The rough surfaces mount was the primary selling point with the magnetic mount being second. The rough surface mount has worked very well. Despite cleaning the area really well, I did have some issues with the mount releasing. After a few iterations it seemes to have cleaned off any tiny stuff I missed and is now holding without issue. The magnetic mount is great, though it required that I purchase a new case and mount the plate externally. I had not expected that based on the description, but it was the only way I could make it work. Overall I am happy, but the lack of strength on the magnet through the case was a bit of a let down

Quick setup and doesn't appear to jostle or come out of place even on bumpy roads/rumble strips.

Very good price and great product. I was worried that it would not stick to my windshield but it works perfectly even in the 93 degree heat beating down. The magnet holds my phone upright nicely.
