Forgot wireless, MoCA is the way to go, I have now 4 of them setup in my house and I could not be happier. My PS 4 and PS 5 and mult computes are all plugged into these and I get 800 download speeds on all my devices and if I am using mult devices I have 1200 download they seem to manage the download speed good.

Wanted the fastest possible speeds on my wi-fi 6 mesh home network. After researching, most powerline solutions only offer 40-200 mbps of throughput at best. Slower than what I was currently getting. I came across the ScreenBeam - MoCA 2.5 Network Adapter for Ethernet Over Coaxial. WOW! ITS EXACTLY LIKE HAVING A GIGABIT ETHERNET CONNECTION WHEREVER YOU HAVE A CABLE JACK! I'm now maxing out my wi-fi 6 network speeds! Its like I'm right next to my base router and modem! This former IT nerd highly approves!

I needed to extend wired Internet in my new home and had a choice of using Powerline adapters or MoCA adapters. I’ve never used either, but online articles and reviews seemed to say MoCA was faster and more reliable than Powerline. Thus I can’t compare to Powerline technology, but my experience with the Actiontec MoCA 2.5 Network Adapter has been excellent. Wiring it was simple. Almost everything you need is in the box. Literally 5 minutes and I was ready for speed testing. There is a privacy encryption button, but I didn’t feel I needed to set that up because I have a MoCA filter installed at the cable entry point to the house. What wasn’t in the box: 1) A MoCA filter to prevent your private info from leaking out to your neighbors (it won’t go much further than that) via the cable internet connection. These cost $6 on the Big African Jungle shopping website, so it could have been easily included without breaking a major price point. And in a silly oversight, Best Buy doesn’t sell them, so I had to order from Big African Jungle. 2) You may need more than the two short coax cables included in the kit, so plan ahead. I can’t fault Actiontec for this issue. Most people will be fine with two, though I needed a third. If you need extras, they are cheap and often available for free from your cable provider. I tested my Internet speed and TV cable box operation both before and after installation. There was no difference in internet speeds over several test runs. About 950 down, 40 up. The instructions say the adapters will add about 2 ms to 5 ms latency. My tests showed an additional 1 ms to 2 ms latency. That is nothing to complain about. If you have existing coax outlets near the places where you need to extend wired Internet, I’d go with MoCA 2.5 every time despite it being slightly more expensive than high quality Powerline adapters. The Actiontec kit is a fine choice for adapters.

Wow, it actually worked! I am very excited about this. I am in IT and this could have come in handy many times. Anyways I bought this for an employee who wanted to work from home. Our setup requires a hard wire ethernet connection for their desktop and VOIP phone. Her new home didn't come pre-wired with ethernet but her home had Coax. After doing some research, I found this product and decided to try it out. I tested this at my house first since I have AT&T Gigabit Fiber and was curious if it could really push gigabit speeds. Speedtest came back 940Mbps download and 830Mbps upload. Speed test with ethernet was 940Mpbs download and 940Mbps upload. So, it has a slightly lower upload speed but equally as fast download speed. I would totally recommend this. Setup was very easy too. Make sure to get both connected to the Coax and powered up. The light turns green in less than a second of being connected to each other so it will be easy to find the right cable if you have a bunch of unlabeled coax cables. Overall, I am very satisfied and plan on using many of these in the future. Pros: Amazing Cons: Not POE

I'd give this 5 stars if it weren't for the poor documentation. I got this because my router is on one end of the house and my TV, where I do 4k streaming, is on the other. Even with a Google Nest Mesh system, the TV would sometimes show only an OK or weak connection to the wireless mesh system. This would occasionally give me some streaming issues. Thus, I wanted a better TV connection, especially since I was paying for a 800 mbps connection from Comcast. However, I didn't want to run ethernet cable along the entire length of my house. I discovered that you can use MOCA adapters to turn your coaxial cable system into an ethernet network, and keep most of your speed. Since there was a cable outlet near my TV, I thought that this would be ideal. So I picked these up from Best Buy. However, what I thought would be a quick & easy setup ended up taking me several hours. The documentation on how to set up these adapters is very poor. I have a modem/router combination (Netgear CM1100 DOCSIS 3.1 modem and the Google Nest Wifi Router). The documentation does NOT give any information as to how to configure this, despite modem/router combinations being EXTREMELY common. And if you go on the web or Youtube, instructional videos show you how to hook up MOCA adapters that have two coax ports (like GoCoax or Motorola) to modem/router combos. The ActionTec adapters only have one coax port, and the documentation provided is useless. It took me hours of searching the web until I found a reddit post that was relevant to my situation (which is a very common situation). If you have a modem/router, the way to set it up is this: 1. House cable outlet to cable splitter provided with the ActionTec adapter. 2. One output of cable splitter into modem cable port (if you've got a DOCSIS 3.1 modem, you'll want a MOCA filter on the modem cable port). Also make sure you've got a MOCA filter at the point where your cable enters your house (my house already had one that Comcast had put there). 3. Other output of cable splitter into ActionTec port 4. Modem ethernet output into main ethernet input of router 5. Actiontec ethernet connection into LAN port on router If you've got a Google Nest Wifi router like I do (and thus only two ethernet ports on it), and you need more ethernet ports, then the ethernet output of your modem goes into the input on your Nest Wifi router, and the LAN port on your Nest router goes into an ethernet switch (I'm using a Netgear 5 port switch). The ethernet connection on your ActionTec then goes into the ethernet switch. Once I figured out how to do the modem/router setup, then setting up the connection at the TV was super easy. Performance was very good. I get around 850 mbps on my desktop which is directly wired and very close to my modem/router. At my TV on the other end of the house, I was getting around 125 mbps on the Nest mesh wifi system. After installing the ActionTec, I was getting around 600-650 mbps on that end of the house. Definitely a great solution over wiring your house with ethernet. Just wish they would make the documentation better.

Previously purchased the Motorola MM1000 which required some configuration won't0 work with Comcast, these were plug and play. Was getting full speed that I am paying for (400 mbps down & 20 up, which have noticed speeds have slightly increased). Only downfall we have noticed at random times cable boxes are affected, by that we have noticed some boxes freeze up and stop working properly. Once we unplug the cable boxes end up working no issue. One of the biggest things you need to confirm is that you have Moca compatible coax splitters and that you have no non compliant or older splitters which may be hidden in places that you might not realize which will cause issues.

I bought these to extend ethernet to the basement. The Wifi and modem are both location on the floor above, so reception can be spotty when streaming and doing multiple tasks. Setting this up is easy if you follow the flowchart online. I did have to buy a 4 input splitter due to the more complicated setup of having a second router that handles the telephone. After plugging the one upstairs in, then plugging the 2nd into the basement coax it all just worked instantly. I've been using it for 6 months now and speeds are just as fast as if I was going directly from my modem (300 down). I have this supplying 10 ethernet devices and haven't ran into any issues yet. I've tried Wifi extenders in the past and they never worked properly. So is a huge step up if you don't want to rewire the house and have existing Coax lines. One important note you will need to buy a cheap MoCA POE filter to put on the main incoming line from outside. This prevents your signal from leaving your house and going into your neighbors since COAX is 2-way.

Works as advertised. Makes it extremely easy to get that High Speed internet to otherwise unreachable areas. I used it to run internet to my downstairs media (TV, Roku, U-verse Box) Ran Ethernet from the 2nd device to a 4 port switch, no issues. On a side note, my home was a new build that never had the cable company come to the home to do their thing, so all my cable runs are just blank ends in the cable box outside. Luckily the downstairs cable were all attached to it worked fine. You just have to make sure that the cabling isnt seperated Something else I read about is the type of splitter that needs to be used...I beleive this is more important in the box outside of your home where all the cable wire runs meet. Fact Check me though. Im no expert, but I wanted to pass along some issues to try if you are running into problems getting them to work.

This works really well! I have gigabit Internet and am able to get pretty much the full speed with this. It's a little pricey, but if it means I don't have to run an ethernet cable through the attic it is well worth it. Here is something I was able to test, because I didn't have a clear answer. I already had MOCA from my u-verse router going through the coaxial network to a u-verse set top box. I figured that mixing the 2 networks on the same cables would interfere with each other. However, now I am running both and they don't seem to interfere with each other. The TV works fine and the ethernet don't seem to affect it. Just using the splitters that came in the box to split the cable.

They worked instantly with my Verizon Fios router. I now have wired network in the basement for all 8 devices. They all get almost the full gigabit speed. Very satisfied with the performance. I would have given it 5 stars but the high price is a hard pill to swallow.

Very easy to set up and works very well. It is not listed but should be known this will not work on the same cable line as cable internet. To get around this run a separate line for the cable to the cable modem then the rest of the house on the existing cable lines for these. have 4 set up, one for the main connection to the network/Internet with 3 location and all work perfectly and at full speed without any issues. Far easier than running Ethernet cables everywhere and works much better than an extender or powerline adapter setup.

I recently bought a Linksys Velop Meth router system from my home networking purpose. Since my Verizon Fios entry point is at the far corner of my basement, it is not getting me the strong signals to the whole house even if using the meth. The Actiontec Moca cards from Bestbuy helped to bring the ethernet signals to a central location in my house using the existing cable system. The adapter cards are very easy to set up and work very well. I highly recommend to consider the adapters as a viable option to enjoy high speed internet through the coax cable system.

My TV location does not have an Ethernet port and conduit runs only coaxial cables. Pulling Ethernet cables was not possible as it needed cutting through the walls. ScreenBeam MoCa Adapter converted my coax cables as Ethernet cables. Each end needs one adapter. Wall Ethernet port -> MoCA Adapter -> Coax cable -> MoCA Adapter -> TV Ethernet port. The product was easy to install and provides high speed Internet and high quality streaming.

I cut the cable cord 5 years ago and have been using the Actiontec ECB6200 (MoCA 2.0) to use my coax cable runs instead of ethernet to extend my AT&T gigabit network from upstairs to downstairs. Although the devices were rated up to 1 Gbps, and I usually get 850 Mbps upstairs, I never got more than 400 Mbps downstairs, but the signal was solid and these devices worked perfectly. I eliminated the myriad of splitters Time Warner had installed over the years at their junction box with no luck, so I thought the speed difference was because of the older coax cable used back in 1991 and/or the length of the cable run and even tried a signal booster with disastrous results. Having some other house improvement work being done, I was just about to pay for an electrician to run a couple of CAT8 ethernet cables for me outside the house between the upstairs and downstairs floors, but yesterday I saw this model with MoCA 2.5, so I took a chance and tried it. My speed downstairs is now matching that upstairs at 850 Mbps, for a fraction of the price... well worth the upgrade to this model! I see MoCA 3.0 is pending to be released, I guess with 8K content around the corner, but I'm hoping these will last me another 5 years before making the next upgrade.

Seems to work very well, connection was relatively simple, and speed is absolutely killing it! Getting nigh near my full speed through these. If you have decent speed and a remote wifi somewhere that isn't great, but you have a coax port, you WON'T regret this purchase at all.

I have an Orbi Mesh system which works amazing in enchancing the wifi signal throughout my whole home. However, my PS4 and PC upstairs in my toom were still getting poor speeds and lagging when gaming or doing online calls. I ended up purchasing this moca adapter and connected it to a netgear unmanaged switch which is connected to the main router. Upstairs, I intercept it with my coax jack and have it going into the second Orbi node! And from there it is going into a netgear switch that is connecting my pc, switch, and ps4!! AMAZING AND FAST!! My ping is very low and I am not only anle to wire my devices, but the Orbi node is now also wired and providing the fastest conmection to my wireless devices up here. I even purchased a second pair as I used one in my sister’s room to hardwire her pc since she does online calls more than anyone! I love it!

This pair is the second set of adapters I've purchased. Formerly ActionTec, I've used these for the last 6 years. The bonded ones are worth the money as they are much more reliable and consistent performance wise. The non bonded ones don't always stay connected. If you want to do wired backhaul for a mesh system, then this is a great way to handle the backhaul while utilizing existing infrastructure. I think these are better than using powerline, as they powerline adapters I had only lasted for about 2 weeks. They ethernet feedback didn't play nice with my modem.

Easy to setup using existing cables for TV. Just put two on two sides of the cable and the Ethernet is connected. Work as expected. Reached 400Mbps which is my Internet speed. Should be able to reach higher speed internally but did not test it.

For years, we've been unsuccessful at getting reliable internet access into the Livingroom in my mom's apartment. The walls are all concrete, so the wifi signals did not travel or were very weak and we didn't have the option of moving the main router because then the other end of the apartment would become a dead zone. We finally found a solution with the MoCA network adapter. It was easy to install, and worked right out of the box. I think we needed to get a couple of additional short ethernet cables for our setup, and we turned an old router into a bridge, and now we have complete coverage in the apartrment.

I was having wireless meshing issues with my upstairs APs so I purchased these MoCa adapters (rather than pulling cat5e/cat6 cabling) to hardwire them since I had Coax in the rooms already. The APs have been rock solid now and I have had no issues with these adapters. I had to get 2 of the 2 packs because 1 is needed for each AP and 1 is needed at my switch to feed the network into the Coax cabling. My WiFi speeds have basically doubled now when a device is on those APs (no more sharing wireless for the mesh). I used the 4th one to hardwire my PS5 and it eliminated any buffering in video streaming apps like Netflix and my game downloads go much faster. These basically came with everything needed (2 coax cables, 2 splitters, 2 ethernet cables) to get you up and running. Just make sure to get a MoCa PoE filter to not cause issues with your ISP.
